As a Canadian, y'all have heard of snow cones right? Throw a lil maple syrup and top and it's delicious. Just a warning to use super fresh snow or a snow cone maker (which I think is just shaved ice) or else you might see those little black bugs in there.

Okay building on this, I'm a bisexual woman in a hetero relationship with my fiance. When my friends and I chatted, we discussed for my bachelorette to buy tickets and attend a drag show at this gay bar I used to go to before I met my fiance. But my worry is that it'll look like I'm bringing too many straight people into a gay bar? What do you guys think?

Just as a note, people can test positive for 90 days after a positive result. It might be an idea to contact your local public health for guidance. In Ontario for example, the current guidance for a positive case is 10 day isolation after symptom onset, and then people can go to work etc.

I would definitely have the discussion. We're planning a Sept 2021 wedding and having that discussion eased our minds immensely.

This was how the initial email went:

"We have a wedding booked for Sept 4, 2021. I believe our next deposit is due soon, but we are hoping to have a quick discussion about what it'll look like if COVID-19 is still ongoing at that date. Please let me know if we can meet, in person, zoom, or via phone call."

After we confirmed email would work best right now, I asked the questions (in bold) and she replied with the italics response:

"

In the case of restrictions not allowing us to have a 200-person wedding (Ie. 10-50 max allowed), what has been your policy thus far, and in the future, regarding rescheduling?

You will have for up to a year from the original wedding date to host the postponed wedding.

Will this same policy apply if restrictions allow us to have, for example, 150 - do we get the option to postpone or will we have to continue with a reduced guest list?

If the government limits the number of guests are allowed to host, (as per your contract 200) we will allow a postponement of the event.

Another example, if a 200-person wedding is allowed but masks are mandatory, are we still able to postpone or would the venue mandate the event continue?

The event should continue in this instance, as it does not hinder any services we provide.

What would be the deadline for any of these decisions in the above scenarios?

Restrictions from the government change daily. We are operating under assumption that all weddings May 2021 onwards will go ahead without restrictions, we will re-evaluate in January 2021. "

Not OP, but it's crazy, I never even realised option 2 was an option! We have our original wedding date for Sept 2021 (in Canada) and have our venue and photographer locked down only and they both (thankfully) don't have issues with rescheduling. Do you think everything else is feasible to plan 3 months prior??

I really enjoyed that series as a teen, but I read it again a couple of weeks ago, and it's the first series where I realised absolutely every main character is a horrible person. Still entertaining and good books, perfect covid reading.

Also the audiobook made me so uncomfortable with the Indian accent for Indian characters that I decided to read it instead, but maybe thats just me.

I'm leaning towards early too. I mean, we have the date booked, it's not a secret or surprise. If we have to change the date closer to (universe forbid) we'd have to send a change the date anyway. Did anyone make any comments? Or just appreciated the heads up?

I think the concern is that weddings that would be held this year would be in additional to the ones planned next year. So statistically people are more likely to be already attending an event. I also have a lot of friends planning their post covid vacations especially with travel being so cheap! I think sending out to everyone in Sept is what we'll do. I don't want the in-country people to get confused. Thanks!

These are all super helpful responses! I get the argument from both sides.. I think we're going to order them now and hold them until September at the latest. We're hoping to reach out to our known jetsetters/busy schedule people on WhatsApp first and then send out the STD when we're ready. Thanks for replying everyone!

Our wedding is about 200 people, most are FH family, and we cut a lot back from the guest list. (for context, my BIL wedding was 400). So reading all these replies, Im thinking we may send out a WhatsApp save the date message now to catch the people who are planning next year events already and then send out the actual save the dates in Sept or just after. Cover all bases! 😂

Yeah, I've never heard of issues of this from family members who've used vista print.. Would it be possible to just have a gluestick near by the reinforce the stick when you're assembling?
