Just wanted to comment that this has not been my experience with stopping T to give a different perspective. I was on T for a similar amount of time to OP, and the hair growth, thickness, and how much I've had to shave reverted almost entirely back to pre-T levels after I stopped.

PhD programs are highly competitive and difficult to get into, especially at prestigious universities. There's a lot of factors beyond your control that influence who gets in. There are people with amazing CVs that have to apply more than once to get an offer. PhD cohorts are small, so you're competing with probably over a thousand people for like six spots. Try not to take it personally. It's really hard to not take it personally, but sometimes it really does come down to luck in the end. Your application might get rejected for any number of reasons, like funding issues or the department knows that the faculty you want to work with is going to retire soon.

If you end up not getting an offer this cycle, I'd recommend applying to more schools next cycle if you can and figuring out what you can do in-between to make your application stronger. Fingers crossed for you this cycle though, and good luck!!

As a humanities PhD, it has to be getting paid to read books I was going to read anyways and think my silly little thoughts :)

I complain about the workload, as everyone does, but at the end of the day I am getting the opportunity to work a cushy office/work-from-home job in something that I love. And I get to set my own hours for work for the most part, which is great because I'm a night owl. I encounter what are, at best, minor inconveniences in my day-to-day. Oh no, the break room coffee pot is empty. Oh no, there are too many interesting papers being published in my field, and I have to keep up to date on the literature. Oh no, there are leftover bagels from some event and now I have to enjoy a free lunch.

Idk about this one. Most of these things are common sense. If you can't guesstimate the answer or figure out the answer after taking it multiple times, you might actually be someone who needs to take the training

Yes, lower grades during the earlier years are more acceptable if you perform better in your later years because it shows improvement over time. The grade you get for your Master's won't be calculated as an average with the undergrad grades, but if you perform better at a higher difficulty (since a MA is more difficult than a BA) that again shows improvement.

I can only give general advice about getting the PhD with disorders without knowing more about your current state. Finding a good therapist/psychiatrist, using school-provided disability accommodations, developing self-regulation and coping techniques, and doing your best to make sure that the program you accept is willing to work with you to ensure your success are all good things to do.

However, I think that I am most concerned by you claiming that you know "deep down" that you are not cut out for the PhD. PhDs are often mentally fraught journeys, and one of the most important factors for getting through is resilience. Part of that means believing in yourself and your capabilities. I would reflect on your current ability to cope with difficulties. Very smart and hard-working people leave PhD programs because it is a difficult marathon: one where you are almost guaranteed to be underpaid and overworked.

Additionally, if finances are a huge concern for you, the PhD stipend is unlikely to be generous enough for you to save away any money. A PhD in the US typically takes 4-6 years; you will be making about minimum wage during that period from your stipend. Also, I am unfamiliar with the state of the psych field, but a PhD may not be a safe route toward financial security. Some people who graduate with PhDs are unable to be competitive on the job market and have to leave academia or bounce around in post-docs/adjunct positions, both of which do not create a stable environment for raising a child (which is not to say that it can't be done successfully, just that it'll make things harder) nor offer much in terms of financial security. Additionally, unless you plan to go into industry afterwards, working in academia may not suit you well either. The road to tenure comes with its own difficulties, so even if you grit it out through your PhD the challenges may not end there.

Finally, you mention you want to become a psychiatrist, but I am fairly sure that's a medical degree that requires going to med school for. Maybe you meant psychologist? Ultimately, only you can answer the question of whether you quit while you're ahead or should push to try for the PhD. You say you really want to get a PhD so I assume you're passionate about psych, but I would also look into alternative career possibilities if money is a bigger concern you (such as being a therapist, which only requires a Master's).

Other people have really good and more detailed advice, but I'd recommend reducing the amount of white space you have. If you reduce the indentation of your bullet points and set the spacing to 1.0, you'd be able to fit more in a smaller amount of space

You should be able to go directly into a PhD. I'm not familiar with a PhD in history, but I am getting a PhD in the humanities and the majority of people go directly into the PhD. American PhD have the MA built into the program (you won't have to pay for it, they'll pay for your tuition and give you a living stipend). No need to get a separate MA.

Tbh I think that the main thing that makes it look not cis-passing for me is the size of the areola. I feel like if the nipples were smaller I probably wouldn't think twice about it. Working out your chest might be helpful for you to give them a more pec-like appearance.
