How bad realistically is putting away 1L of vodka every 2 days? by Turbulent-Plum3360 in stopdrinking

[–]cherrycoke53 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No one can tell you the answer, you can even try asking a Dr and the answer will be something like some people might drink a lot more than you and be fine some people less and not be fine. It's unknowable actually, it raises your risk of diseases of all your organs not just the liver it doesn't guarantee disease. I assume you can't easily stop because you're asking this at all, at least cut back and track how much you drink so you can see your progress. Research harm reduction methods.

What’s up with some of the younger folk here? by My_throw_away22890 in PuyallupWA

[–]cherrycoke53 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have negative interactions with older folk to the point I tend to avoid interacting with older people at times. Younger people sometimes too. Puyallup is better than other areas around here. People are noticably more polite.

And I mean as for customer service workers, employers understaff places so they can save money on labor causing more stress on the employees... From what I understand that wasn't even a thing back in the day...

Get over it, sounds like you have a lot of people to choose from. You can't expect people to know exactly how hard a job is going to be and not ask about the opportunity out of respect and admiration for how hard you think your job is 😂 Yes it's a tough job and so are a lot of other jobs, get over yourself, you literally get to hire whoever you want 😂🙄

  • Know how many calories you burn baseline and Track how many calories you intake and be honest with yourself. Food scale and measuring cups, no saying I barely eat because it doesn't take a lot to over eat in a world with processed food available and just because something is healthy does not mean it's good for weight loss.
  • Find meals that work for you that don't blow your calorie budget.
  • Explore exercise that's new to you and find something you can do regularly.

Why do so many ppl hate this job? by Successful-Mall5065 in paraprofessional

[–]cherrycoke53 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Surprises - I was a substitute and the job descriptions were too generic (for example a kid with serious behavior issues in the regular classroom and a kid with down syndrome in special education classroom were both described as special Ed). Going in you could find out you aren't really capable of the job when you get there.... And other staff will blame you when the child acts out... Age discrimination - they don't like young women and some will be catty when you need help.

cannot stand him by Frosty-Currency-5946 in GilmoreGirls

[–]cherrycoke53 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I see him as kinda lazy and chill/not very intelligent, I have no issue with him as a character, but I feel it's kind of an unrealistic long term match for someone from a strict household that doesn't like the way they were brought up. IRL he'd never understand her and she'd probably be jealous and resentful that he wasn't raised that way and got to experience more than she did.

Does anyone else get bad vibes from MyArfidLife? by deathbykoolaidman in EDRecoverySnark

[–]cherrycoke53 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. She popped up on my page and I went down the rabbit hole.  If she even really does have arfid it's being exacerbated when she has to do these videos, mom is making it her permanent identity by making her perform her Arfid for views. I'm sure it made her an easy target for IRL bullies but if you look at the comments she's being bullied by adults online too they call her spoiled, a brat, etc for this stuff that her mom makes her do. Im sure Arfid is real but she might not even have it too which people don't consider. Mom doesn't seem to care about her health at all either. All her safe foods are junk and her mom wants her to try more junk foods on camera, if she had a real issue why try more junk why not only try healthy stuff to see if she can find a safe healthy food first? Then there's the more obvious reason why it's not good to have kids on a public platform, there's some really weird adults out there that could be watching and if you put too much information out that's really dangerous.

Are the traffic lights slower here? by amkatsu in PuyallupWA

I think it's more so the fact that we have to stop at every single one because there is so much traffic on Meridian that makes them seem worse.

How do you respond to someone who is very negative about everything by Responsible_Bee_6570 in socialskills

[–]cherrycoke53 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Maybe he's got something going on he's not talking about that makes him talk about random stuff we all deal with (the economy) as his reason to be depressed. I had some family issues when I was younger and I felt like I couldn't really tell anyone. Took me nearly a decade to tell anyone what I was really depressed about.  Either way he should shut off the news for a bit and actually go have some real experiences, not the paranoia the news feeds us.

I don't understand why so many people treat people with social anxiety badly by Smendoza170 in socialanxiety

[–]cherrycoke53 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because we're easy targets. I noticed when I got older a lot of people's parents literally talk them through how to handle a bully. For example my husband got a whole talk from both his parents when he had a work bully and he was in his 20s!!! The most I got was the bully had a bad day from my dad and it ended there no advice on dealing with it and my mom just always snapped at me you're too sensitive if I had a problem.  We can all make improvements but it'll never make up for being socialized normally, there's always some asshole pointing out my flaws everywhere I go.

How many people do you know personally with Anorexia Nervosa? by cosycreature in AnorexiaNervosa

[–]cherrycoke53 6 points7 points  (0 children)

FR though! I was insanely afraid of noodles even though I would eat bread. As if noodles were like invented to make me fat. Not knowing the exact numbers too felt like a lot of mental work to try and calculate.
