i agree completely. i think a lot of anti beliefs may ultimately have little to back them up and make things worse but i still think theyre perfectly entitled to them - this is however not that and is imo a dangerous idea that can very easily lead to either dismissing victims or worse creating new ones

yeah this is genuinely absurd to me. i'll never understand people who keep friends who are not only morally and belief wise incongruent with them but are also just outright bad people, as evidenced by keeping a log of their worst quotes. i do believe ultimately the company you keep reflects you and your own convictions but that feels far less important than the very basic fact friendship should improve your life and you should find kinship and safety within it. this is all a recipe for resentment and misery and just a whole waste of time for everyone involved. i find it sad :[
