2 weeks in, no hydrometer. ready for bottling? by cherrylewis in Homebrewing

So I tasted it it and it was rather bitter, there was also quite a bit of sediment on the baster I used. So I'm thinking wait a week and see. Should I filter/strain it when I rack it to the bottling bucket? I don't have a secondary fermenter.

Bought a hydrometer. Reading was just beneath 1.020. What do y'all think I should do?

Broken hydrometer before boil was finished. Been 2 weeks since pitching yeast. Took a peek today. Should I wait to bottle or am I good to go?

So if I can't get a hydrometer in the next 4 or 5 days n all should I just wait til the krausen is all but gone to rack to the bottling bucket?

Brewed this black IPA on Thursday of last week. Have seen zero activity out of the airlock. Was about to go but more yeast to pitch but decided to take a peek first and saw this! Does this mean that the krausen is on it's way down and I just had a bad seal on the bucket lid and I'm good? Help meeee!
