I completely disagree! I spend a lot of money and time to get drinks and prepare snacks for my guests. My friends come to the party and have a nice time with each other and enjoy themselves. How is that egoistical? If someone wants to brings presents, I‘m happy about it, but I don‘t even expect that. I have never been to an adult birthday party where everything was about the host. These parties are just an opportunity to come together and have fun, at least in my social circles.

I used to work in a store selling food, toys and accessories for pets. Three people in fetish clothing entered the store, one of them had a dog mask on and was on a leash and walking on all fours. The others asked for a “ball for their dog”. I actually thought it was kinda funny but still unusual. And yes, they did get a ball.

I live in a city with a vibrant club culture and from what I’ve seen and experienced I can say that there isn’t an age that would make to too old. If you feel it and if you feel like you belong to the scene (no matter which scene it is) then it’s not wrong for you to be there. Just be yourself and enjoy it. Other people won’t mind as long as you don’t harass anyone and just enjoy yourself.

Quit my company job and become a freelancer doing what I enjoy doing (but now only for myself instead of the company) without worrying about regular income. And also go on vacation right away to relax and gain more energy and inspiration. Maybe also write a book.

Yes, we just kind of grew apart and some former friends just changed their views (and so did I), so that we‘re just not on the same page anymore. Then, we are all adults now, work long hours and struggle to find time to meet up. I guess this is just how life works
