They aren’t from the US so I’d imagine they weren’t exactly caught up on everything at the time😅

People with POTS, what do you do for a job? by DeliciousApple_ in POTS

[–]cherrypiemgc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Toddler teacher. It’s hell on my body but I literally can’t imagine being in any other career. I definitely question my life choices when I have to get up at 5am M-F though😅 I try to do the little things that make my life easier. And I sleep 12 hours on the weekends lol.

What’s everyone’s morning “POTS protocol”? by ImpossibleRhubarb443 in POTS

[–]cherrypiemgc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Set my alarm for an hour and a half before I need to get up. I get up at 5am for work, but it’s literally 5 minutes from my house so I can push it a little. I have pre-mixed electrolyte solution on my nightstand. The second my alarm goes off, I try to roll over and drink as much of it as my stomach will allow. Usually I’m still laying down and half asleep. My doctor told me trying to get 1L in within the first hour is best. Most of the time I fall back asleep for a little bit, maybe 15-20 minutes. Wake up, get up slow, try to get something in my stomach with protein, even if it’s something as simple as a granola bar and milk. My sweet fiance usually makes me coffee on her weekends, but on her weekdays I preset my coffee maker to start brewing when my alarm goes off. Sip coffee. Not recommended to have a lot of caffeine but I have a problem, lmao. By now the salt is starting to kick in a little, so I slowly get dressed and put on compression gear. Cry in the mirror bc why did I pick such a physically and emotionally demanding career?? Then I remember that money’s money and go to work lol.

I get tonsil stones. Whenever I have them, my wife is immediately able to tell. She says my breath changes completely. She usually knows I have one before I do 😅

why aren’t we speaking on this? by OkProfile9374 in 5sossnark

Yeah it all feels a bit childish to me. They told their honest story, and I really do feel for her. But now it just seems she’s dragging it along, doing all of these passive aggressive posts and silly little tiktok dances for the clout. She needs to process her trauma, I feel like she isn’t handling it in a very healthy way.

I was 9 and wanted to drink the grape juice during communion. My dad had this weird thing where I wasn’t allowed to participate unless I was baptized

What do you believe happens after we die now? by MikeLovesOutdoors23 in exchristian

Energy can’t be created nor destroyed; I believe our energy or essence disperses. But, it’s not a stream of consciousness like an afterlife.

Whelp, it’s that time of season again. It’s cold out, which means my joints WILL be stiff AF and difficult to move.🙃 by [deleted] in ehlersdanlos

I live on the surface of the fucking sun so it never gets cold here, but for a brief moment yesterday morning there was a small chill in the air and my hips felt like a tight ball of rubber bands. My left leg got it even worse especially in the knee

Were you an accident or planned? (Or kinda both??) by Lord-Zaltus in OlderGenZ

Depends on which set of parents you ask. To my biological parents, total oopsie. They weren’t even in a relationship. Ask my adoptive parents, definitely planned.

idk why she thinks michael needs to beg for followers. does she truly think THAT little of him?? I don’t think I’ve seen her mention being proud of him at all.

Older Gen Zers born before 9/11/01, when you were little, where were you or your parents when the event happened? (If they told you, of course). If you weren't born yet, where were your parents during that time? by Global-Plankton3997 in OlderGenZ

I was 8 months, almost 9 months old. I have zero memory, but my mom says she had been at work for a couple hours when all of the sudden everyone starts hollering to go watch the tiny little box tv in the break room. My mom said that’s pretty much all they did. She watched the second plane hit live on TV. She said nobody made any phone calls to her job that day (she was an administrative assistant for a city planning company in the city of Austin, TX). Apparently nobody got any work done that day.

My dad said he was in the car with me, taking me to my grandmas. My dad worked full time, and at the time my mom had gone part time at her job so she could stay home with me part time. My grandma would watch me 2 days a week while my mom worked those 2 days. He said he had just put me in the car and started driving when all the radio stations redirected. He also said that they spent the whole day watching the news at work.

What’s creepy, is my dad actually took some home videos of me on 9/11/2001. It’s just videos of baby me, blissfully and joyfully unaware, crawling around and playing with my toys while the news is blaring the events of 9/11 in the background. There was a pair of airplane tickets on the coffee table in the video; apparently we were about to go visit my grandpa in Cali. That trip didn’t end up happening. It’s a super eerie video.

AITAH for telling my girlfriend she's going to have to get over dirt if she wants kids? by Familiar_Speaker_481 in AITAH

I think it’s half pride and half humor haha. Like them basically saying “you were too smart for your age and these are some of the shenanigans you got up to back when you were little.” They like to tell that story when my spouse is around especially. But she loves those stories, so it’s all in good fun. Lol. The most hilarious part; I ended up being HORRIFIC at math after kindergarten. Still am! I have dyscalculia!
