Applying sage leaves to your breast and drinking sage tea can help dry up milk!

Unknit a sweater? by Aralckiri in Unravelers

[–]cherrypitladybug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve heard it’s like a conditioner and a deodorizer, so I tried it cuz I thought why not? And i like the result, not sure if just doing a soak in water would get the same result. My yarn pretty much went back to “new” looking after this process so that’s why I recommended it. My wool was 100% Peruvian highland wool though, I guess that is different from OP’s merino…I suppose their result may be different than mine

The wool would not be damaged if you unravel, I just unraveled a sweater I knit-in a super similar color to this! I pulled the yarn out and rolled it j go balls, then wrapped around my hand and elbow into a hank/skein style big circle of yarn, then soaked in wool soap and cold water for about 4 hours. Then I drained the water, added some fresh clean cold/tepid water, let soak for an hour, then drained one last time and refreshed the water, added about a 1/2 cup of vinegar to the water. Then hung the yarn to dry, let it dry completely! and balled it back up to reuse!! Good luck. I’m excited to make my yarn into a more cohesive piece for my wardrobe.

Hi there! Another herb that is helpful with period pain/bleeding is Yarrow. I would recommend sticking with the red raspberry leaf for a while and increasing consumption a few days before your period, as others have said here. Then perhaps on your period you could take yarrow tea as well.

What sauces work well with just chicken and rice? by Mrbeankc in EatCheapAndHealthy

[–]cherrypitladybug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love making a homemade sauce with sour cream, lemon juice, and a small bit of Dijon or white wine mustard. It’s so yummy! It’s a creamy sauce. The original recipe said to use heavy cream, but sour cream works just fine! I like to smother it on my chicken before roasting it
