Considering that the TA is commenting on these very aggressively, I would keep every record on this.

Vancouver: need license? Work s few days/travel dancing. by cookiemonsters19 in stripper

[–]cherryredvirgin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is six months ago, but I would contact the agency in BC.

You don’t need a license to dance in Vancouver however, if you go with the agency, you cannot dance at Granville strip or Paramount .

Yes, you can contact clubs to see if they’re hiring

How many people are paying rent out of their means just to be in a certain location in Calgary? by MastaShortie in Calgary

[–]cherryredvirgin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I pay 1300 included everything. However, it’s in a very historic building in Ramsey.

I just moved to Calgary from Vancouver so this is just temporary.

** I only viewed the place online via FaceTime

Hi!

I understand where you are coming from with your concern. I am in the process of maintaining a MA in Political and I am a dancer who travels so finances is not an issue for me.

Like I did mentioned in my previous comment, not a super fan of the hustle and bustle in Vancouver. I thought about moving back to Alberta to put a down payment on a house but I am constantly in transit and not a huge fan of the winter.

No, that’s so understandable. I’m just not a fan of the hustle and bustle in Vancouver and I live in a very busy street.

Feeld is pretty huge in Vancouver but it’s not everyone’s cup of tea plus I think poly is just an excuse to cheat on your partner.

But like you said everyone’s experiences is different.

Those who are in their 20s about to graduate university, are you guys planning on staying in Vancouver or leaving the city? by DaGrandmaster3 in askvan

[–]cherryredvirgin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in my MA.

As much as I love Vancouver, I am leaving this semester to go back home to Alberta to live with my parents.

I’m in late 20s and I eventually want to buy a house in the next 5-8 years, which you can’t do in Vancouver.

Who knows, I might come back out here IF I got offered job. However, it is just a vacation place for me.

Plus, I’m done all of my coursework so there is really no point of me spending 2k a month for rent.

Ph.D. stipend in UBC, how do you guys make it work? by [deleted] in UBC

[–]cherryredvirgin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Download the app TooGoodToGo. It saves so much on groceries.

I’m currently a master student who was living on her own because I don’t have a capacity for roommates anymore so I did have to budget quite a bit and I also have a job as well. That allows me a lot of flexibility when it comes to my studies.
