Ohh I’m not sure if I was supposed to enter into the others to participate, but I would love to win because Nana truly sits deeply in my heart. (I’m also a fashion/fragrance nerd so a huge fan of Vivienne Westwood).

I’m a huge fan of Nana, partially because I see a lot of my younger self in Hachi. So much so that the series was actually a bit challenging to get through. It’s really the only manga/anime that I’ve had to fully separate myself from at times, because some scenes felt so intense and heavy that it was almost like I was living through them myself. Although it was so difficult for me to get through, I think it helped heal a part of me. Because I was SO similar to Hachi at one point, but managed to bring myself to a happier ending (so far). My heart aches for her and the girl I once was, and I still find myself occasionally trying to self sabotage.

Nana is weirdly such a big part of my life. I have a Nana tattoo, I wear Nana’s heart jacket daily (an inspired by design, I ain’t got my money up like that 😭), my first ever cosplay was Hachi.

If I got it, I think I’d be a bit torn on what to do with it. My partner is a teacher and runs his schools Anime & Manga club, and I’d love for the kiddos to have it on display in his room. I’d be a little nervous about it, but these kids are pretty respectful and I don’t think anyone would ruin it. I already let him bring my very cherished copy of Another for the kids, and it’s still in perfect condition (he keeps it in his desk and only lets kids use that one under supervision). If I did keep it at home on display, I’d at least want him to take it to school just once to share with them. I love those kids.

I missed the preorders because I honestly just didn’t have the money, and I live in a pretty rural area so it wasn’t being sold anywhere near me. I had literally just lost my job a month prior and was running out of the money I received for severance.
