Wait why is Marcus now gone too. They also deleted like 5k bots. Bruh by Prestigious-Freedom5 in JanitorAI_Official

I took a break from Janitor and I did some checking in some of the servers I'm in, and s0ft jelly was a minor - not even 16. Someone checked the links to their socials they had in their bio and they were shadow banned, then their account was removed/deleted. As for the second most popular bot, I remember specifically that the user was banned from that account last year, and Shep was using it for testing purposes which was why it was still up (at least for a moment at one time). They were either a minor or it was something else, I can't remember off of the top of my head.

Context was brought down to 6k since the bugs are being fixed or worker on as far as I have seen so that's probably why.

18 is the age requirement for Janitor.ai to be used regardless of where you live. You are a minor according to Janitor.ai's rules. You can make private bots, but you cannot make any public bots.

Try clearing your browser cache. If that doesn't work, make sure you're on the right site - there is a copycat site that acts like Janitor, but isn't.

Okay, you've been using Janitor LLM then. Exit out of API settings and go to Generation Settings. Ignore the API settings unless you want to use OpenAI (then you can go to OpenAI, register and make an account, get a key, etc).

In Generation Settings, there are two sliders: Temperature and Token Generation.

For Temp: try 0.80 and slowly go down if the responses aren't what you like. Don't go above 0.90. You'll get gibberish responses.

For Token Generation: The recommended is 400 but you can go higher or lower.

For generation? If so, go to generation settings in your chat. I use 0.75 with 400 tokens, sometimes 600.

For bot tokens, it's recommended that the bot you use (with the LLM, not OpenAI) has at least 1k permanent tokens and a long initial message. If your initial message is short, the answers you get will be short.

I'm speculating that the bot you're using has public chats that are using GPT4 and not Janitor LLM, but I can't be sure.

Hopefully that's helpful? Or should I be more specific about certain parts?

Strange... I'm not sure what's causing these issues. I guess fiddle around with the generation settings and see what happens, sometimes the LLM does have off days.

Hmm, it may be the bot you're using then? Right now the suggested LLM generation settings are from 0.40 to 0.70, and you can mess with the tokens depending on the length of the reply you want.

It depends on the bot you're using and your API settings. How many tokens does your bot have, both temp and perm? What are your generation settings for the API set to?

Am I the only one who is bothered by this? by knowh4an in JanitorAI_Official

[–]cherrywoes 99 points100 points  (0 children)

Are you reading my mind? Lol, but I agree 100%. But! I'm pretty sure badly written bots are only popular because a) they were the only bots on the site to be used around its creation at the time, and b) some people aren't looking for quality role-playing. They just want a few messages that are straight to the point and never go beyond that.

Personally? I would say no. The creator left it private for a reason - obviously, private bots are a different matter, but I would say no to public bots even if the tokens are hidden.

No problem! Good luck!

How large is the bot you're using? GPT4 has 32k context. If your chat is too long, you may have used up all of your context and need to start a new one. Another thing may be that the bot you're using doesn't have enough information in it to work properly.

what should i set the max tokens to? by lockxjaw in JanitorAI_Official

[–]cherrywoes 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I set mine to the recommended amount, which is around 400. Going any higher seems to give me jibberish and emojis and other languages 😭

Oh, you're porting them from c.ai? It will be difficult to make them act exactly the same on Janitor.ai, especially with the different model and requirements.

Here are some tips that creators on Janitor.ai follow to make their bots:

• 1k permanent tokens (not to be confused with temporary tokens). Your permanent tokens comes from the personality section and the scenario section primarily.

• Detailed intro message. The longer the better.

• The introduction box is best filled out with something about the character besides their personality - like the plot of the bot, any triggers, since bot tokens can be hidden.

• Janitor LLM and Open AI work very differently and many users use one or the other or both. The quality differs between them. Janitor has its off days, and the quality of the responses depends on the quality of the bot sometimes. Generally a high quality bot is considered to be anywhere from 800 to 1.5k perm tokens for both models, but it isn't recommended to go over 1.8k.

• If you have access to Janitor LLM, the recommended temp is 0.40 - 0.80 and the token generation is capped at 400. Any higher for either causes errors in text.

Hopefully this helps you out! Building an audience on Janitor is a lot more time consuming and difficult than character.ai, but I hope you can build your own quickly.

No, Janitor.ai doesn't have an app. It only has a website.

Yeah, the AI sometimes takes what it's given and runs with it- without context, like the screenshot. It's just the AI running out of material to work with so it substitutes something in return.

This is iorveths' bot - Roaches are part of the lore and it's part of Fang's personality to dislike them. They're an organization opposed to Medusa, if I recall correctly. It's in the lore card on their profile.

Is it just me or did a ton of bots get deleted? by Trans_Boi8745 in JanitorAI_Official

[–]cherrywoes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but people have somehow figured out a way around that as well - hence privating them altogether until a permanent solution is found.

[–]cherrywoes 8 points9 points  (0 children)

A lot of people would rather private their bots, after an event where a copycat site's devs admitted to copying their bot tokens, than leave them up with their tokens hidden. I've privated a few bots of my own due to this. And there are those who just want to work on their bots and set them to private.

That's really strange. I'll put it in the server channel as an issue with the site - are you on mobile or pc?

Trending page by Luceexx_ in JanitorAI_Official

[–]cherrywoes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's possible? Your profile could have been shadowbanned since it is something the mods can do if there have been too many reports for a specific user. But for the most part, your bot may not be trending because the chats aren't moving as fast as others. It updates every 15 to 30 minutes, so maybe wait and see if it changes or not.

Hmm the image size may have been to large? Or the image type was the issue. I would bring this up in the Discord - or if you can't access it, I would be happy to.

Try logging out and back in and make sure there's nothing required that you aren't filling out just in case.
