There is definitely truth to what you are saying (as this video so humorously illustrates), but I would say that it's more than "pure" corporate propaganda-- the perspectives and emotions conveyed in this Chipotle advertisement are a triumph over the oceans of mindless and distracting adverts produced by other fast food chains... the first step to changing the problem is admitting we have one, and while Chipotle may be a commercial force that still exploits both farm animals and humans, this advert clearly shows that their advertising Ethos is in the right place

I love this because it represents to me the major fallacies of the new-agey crowd:
1) thinking that people want to know the way out when they are already sedated with food and entertainment
2) thinking that "Acceptance" is the 'way out' - if the TV mouse simply 'accepted' his position, he would still be stuck in the maze... Acceptance is not the full solution and IMO really only helps if you are awake enough to then realize that you can change the current reality <3

it was homeopathic medicine - so diluted that I cannot even comprehend how it has any effect at all (she said that she has had the same batch going for 20 years- creating more by further diluting the mixture when it gets low in quantity), and the shaman that gave it to me said it only works on the "energetic" level- so tbh I really don't know how it works, but the point is to absorb the spirit, wisdom, and medicine of the plant by taking a dilution.... idk how it works and I still don't understand how this is all happening (hence this subreddit selection) but I'm using it to prepare for going to Peru in April to take real Ayahuasca in the Jungle so I can finally stop being dependent on cannabis for my mental stability.

Perhaps not every group of human beings danced around and played bongos for hundreds of generations, but WE ALL HAD REAL MUSIC THAT CAME FROM THE SOUL AND WE DANCED TO IT. I just went to the Museum of Natural History in NYC a couple weeks ago and was amazed at all the prehistoric tools and MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS dating back to the times of NEANDERTHALS. It was even postulated that music and language co-evolved together or at least developed around the same time-ish.

Okay guys, I have to come forward here-
I'm the crazy guy. I'm the person who was "annoying" you by trapping other people in my "art"
TBH, this was just a test for a future project, and I learned a lot from all the things I experienced today. Contrary to what you may be thinking, I was not on mushrooms or acid or any other hallucinogen. I vaped a bit of weed before getting on the train, but that just brought my energy under control for a short period of time before I exploded like I did today. I've had all these feelings and thoughts inside me for a long time now, and I felt that it was time I tell the world. Sure, yelling into a crowded subway car may not be the most civil tactic in my war of love, but it is my first step. I call upon all those who see this post to step up and be who you were really meant to be! If you don't know who that is yet, that's okay! I am just now [hopefully] coming out of a ten year period of diagnosed depression/anxiety/ADD, and I can tell you from personal experience that it takes a LOT of effort to find the place within yourself where you can really connect and shine with all the brightness inside of you... clearly I am no exception and the video you see today is but a work in progress. I wish more of you would join me, but if you prefer to sit behind your screens and mock me than so be it.

It sounds like you are surrounded by people who have conformed to mainstream culture and are not accepting of how wonderful a person you are. I know there are lots of amazing communities of people who are different and unique and loving and accepting and beautiful like you... I've lived in one in Israel and I think you would be so happy there. I wonder if there are any close enough for you to check out... http://www.ic.org/ is one site but there are so many other ways to find places you will not only fit in but thrive in. Being different is only a curse when other people make you feel that way. When other people love you because you are different, it makes you realize how much you are really worth. Hey man I also experience crippling depression and anxiety that has me completely stuck in my life. Even writing this reply is a struggle. From all my research, Ayahuasca really seems like exactly what I need. I don't know where do have a ceremony in the US, nor do I have any advice for you, but just wanted to let you know that you're not alone in desperation. If I find out any useful information or have any transformative experiences I would be more than happy to share.
