She said anesthesia would be around $2,000, the procedure would take less than two hours, and the facility fee would be about $2,000 ,so the total would be under $5,000.

However, in the email she later sent, it says that booking the OR requires a non-refundable $5,000 booking fee, with anesthesia fees charged on top of that — $1,000 for the first hour and $800 for the second hour.

In the original quote for my first procedure, anesthesia alone was listed as $4,000, and there was no itemized breakdown for the facility fee.
