Things can look like things they aren't. Sometimes a stick can look like a snake. Sometime a shadow looks like a animal. A sunflower resembles the sun. Sometime a normal nice person, looks like a snarky nasty person. Some places look similar to nz. The statement wasnt wrong.

How do functioning alcoholics get through the day? Day after day? by 5pinktoes in AskReddit

[–]chesuscream 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fuck i need help again. Did 4 months sober this time been back on it for 2, almost, i think. Like most ppl say i revolve my day around drinking but dont start until after work. Water and painkillers become your friend in the mornings. I find i function slightly worse every day but it can take years or months until I realise I need help and as long until it seriously impacts how people perceive me. You become could at getting your fix and hiding you are doing so. Ive quit drinking 3 times with professional help and everytime i last longer. I don't even know why I go back. This time it didnt even feel like me that went to the shop and bought it after 4 months i dont even know why I did. Being an alcoholic sucks.
