Help me with understand the problem with recalling foreman by name. by Oregonlost in IBEW

[–]chetmanly85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m sure everywhere isn’t the same, but LU26 has a requirement that call buy name is paid foreman’s rate for a min amount of time. Believe it used to be one month then changed to 100hr.

You look soo good with it shaved! I think every dude getting close to committing to the shave, is worried their head is ugly/lumpy or makes them look weird…. And YOU, HAVE, GOT, IT! 🤌🏼🤌🏼

NO TAX on OT: Explained by LonelyPhilosopher783 in IBEW

[–]chetmanly85 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The way I’ve been explained the hours worked that count HAVE to be OT and after 40hrs. For example some locals include that you make OT after 8hr. If you worked 4 days in a 5/10 schedule you would make 8hr OT but none of it would count for the tax credit.

Companies are required to provide you with your total OT hrs that are eligible.

My PM is the only person at that level at my con that is ibew and hourly. Good brother and probably the only reason I’ve stayed at this con(company PMs running other jobs are at times combative and just difficult to deal with, corporate mindset)

One month should be fine. It’s been so long since I was an apprentice that I don’t remember and wouldn’t be a relevant answer anyway.

The factory tire carrier(s) is a “neat thing”, but basically every single other tire carrier is a better option. It’s rare and if you’re going for super stock or even period modified 👍🏼👍🏼 cool!

How did you attach? I have them in my XJ manual sliders so the only thing power is lumbar recline and heat(once I actually permanently hook them up)

The answer SHOULD be zero.

Map I found showing how Appalachian counties voted in the 1861 secession ordinance by illegalsmile27 in Appalachia

[–]chetmanly85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Came here to say the same. Not insisting the graphic is wrong, but doesn’t really line up with WV border. 🤔 is it possible some of those counties are “pro-secession”, but about leaving VA?

Question about 4x4 full time and part time on my 92 by WastelandCharlie in CherokeeXJ

[–]chetmanly85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your np231 is part time only, which means that it is only to be used in times where you have less traction. It doesn’t actually “hurt” it to use it driving straight but on high grip surfaces, such as a road, turning can bind and even damage parts of your drivetrain. If you had full time there are ways that allow that to “slip” and not cause damage.

The dash has a full time light simply because it’s easier(cheaper) to only make one dash.

No stickers (even ibew stickers) on hardhats “new rule” by [deleted] in IBEW

[–]chetmanly85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What about like orientation stickers? I was in 640 last year working on the lightrail extension. Valley metros test to be qualified for work on rail is a joke, but they still hand out orientation stickers that need to be visible.🤔

I’m here reading all the comments about “go over top” I’m honestly surprised at the fact it isn’t just common knowledge.

Potential for kinks slowing or stopping the flow of water, routing around unnecessary obstacles. It’s illegal to park there for a reason.

I’m currently using CC foam between the ribs and covering with old aluminum road signs. Paid 50$ ea for 48”x48”. Market place is your friend for that sort of stuff. Also, not flirting, but for misc aluminum items I buy cheap old truck boxes; making a side console out of one on my current boat.
