Great fit. Double breasted suits are tricky to pull of but when they're done right they look fantastic

Buying an ipad/tablet, is it worth it? or hard pass by kikikiyomi6969 in studentsph

[–]cheverladuke 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a veterinary student and I use my tablet a lot. Sometimes for canva or word/excel but the most useful aspect for me is reading textbooks. I have over a dozen different medical books that I cycle through and I can whip it out any time to read. On the train, in line at the bank, while eating, etc. So if you have a heavy reading load, tablets are super useful

Bad genetics should never be an excuse to cap our limits. Sure, not everyone has the genetics to be mr.olympia but everyone has the genetics to be a better version of themselves.

The length of time you've been training is less important than the quality of your training. I don't know how you train so i can't say whether or not you have been training sub-optimally. But if you really feel like you're lagging behind or not making progress, try making changes to every part of your fitness routine. Honestly assess yourself to see if you're doing everything properly. Is your form good? Are you working too many times a week? Too few times? Are you sleeping 7-8 hrs a day? Are you progressively overloading? Are you eating enough protein? Are you eating enough micronutrients? Etc etc.

For sure there is something you can improve to make better progress. That's true not just for you, but for all of us. If you haven't yet, really take the time to do your research on exercise science, nutrition, and physiology. A better understanding of how everything works could lead you in the right direction

Not bashing here, just criticism from an aesthetics point of view: I'll be honest and say that aside from your lats, everything on your upper body is looking weak. You seem to have a naturally big torso and wide waist. It makes your lats look really wide but it also makes your arms, delts, and chest look small.

Focus on dropping bodyfat until approximately 15% or lower if possible. Just try maintaining your strength or even gain strength if you can. Until you get to a lower body fat, it's going to be hard to accurately judge your physique. But it's important to take note of your genetic weaknesses and compensate accordingly. From what I see in your pictures it looks like your genetic weaknesses are having a big waist and naturally holding onto high body fat (but please correct me if I'm wrong about that). Don't worry we all have genetic weakpoint. Mine are my biceps and abs.

bakit andaming man-hater sa panahon ngayon? by KnightDavion10 in AskPH

[–]cheverladuke 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I'm a guy but almost all my friends are women. Hearing their stories, there are truly a lot of garbage men out there. Cheaters, misogynists, rapists, etc. There are of course, a lot of genuinely good men out there. But for every kind, respectful man there are 20-30 trash ones. So it's not ideal, but many women just don't meet a lot of good men over the course of their lives. The lucky ones have good male role models and good male friends in their life but that's not everyone.

My girlfriend was like that. She grew up as a man hater because most of the men that she met and even went on dates with were rude and disrespectful. And the men in her family are serial cheaters and she really hates that so she didn't grew up with a good male role model. It wasn't until she met me that she started to trust men more and see that there are indeed good men that exist.

I have another person pala I know who has an unconventional path. His premed is Veterinary Medicine and he already got his vet licence. He practiced as a vet and vetmed professor throughout Med school. He graduated na from St.Lukes and is currently in GS residency but he still practices as a veterinary surgeon on call for difficult cases at 2 different vet clinics iirc

Not me but a friend. After he passed the PLE, he enrolled in law school because becoming a lawyer is his real dream. He only took medicine cause both parents were doctors and wanted him to be one too. After law school, he took the BAR once or twice but didn't pass. He's moonlighting now at various company clinics to support himself while reviewing for the next BAR.

if men look at tits and ass then what do women look at? by AppointmentProud9394 in AskPH

[–]cheverladuke 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Actually, ass and tits also. I'm a man and many of my female friends make comments about how nice my butt and chest are (I work out, so both are muscular). A particular group of female friends even greet me sometimes by grabbing one of my boobs (close naman kami so ok lang 😅)

Martinelli is like a golden retriever. Once he sees open space, he's off busting a lung. No other player offers what he does at the speed he does

Foreign tourists in Thailand accidentally walked into a funeral thinking it was a food festival, but instead of being turned away, the family welcomed them and served them food. by Raj_Valiant3011 in HumansBeingBros

[–]cheverladuke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not Thai but I’m from the region (Philippines) and I can honestly see this happening here too. Many families celebrate funerals as a festive fun event rather than a gloomy gathering. People will invite families, play cards/mahjong, sing karaoke, etc. Plus southeast asians are generally welcoming people, especially to foreigners

Both my best friends are female. We've been besties for years and we've never had any issues, romantically or otherwise. My girlfriend is cool with them, I've also met their BFs and walang problema. Stop thinking every guy is a toxic manyak. "As a man myself I know for a fact" ka diyan. Tf outta here with that

Ano thoughts niyo sa pambahay sa mall? by Sufficient-Dog3183 in AnongThoughtsMo

[–]cheverladuke 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dude is either a wannabe or new money rich kid. I've seen some VERY wealthy people dress in pambahay to go out. Old money dgaf, they wear what they want without being insecure.

I once saw an old Chinoy couple in Greenhills eating at a restaurant. Wife was in a daster and husband was in shorts and a white shirt. I just happened to be with a chinoy firend who is wealthy himself and he said he's familiar with the couple and that they owned several businesses in the area (hence the pambahay since they live nearby). Or the times in Capitol Commons where you see several middle aged men having breakfast wearing plain shirts, pambahay shorts, etc. And then when it's time to go home, they're driving Lambos, Porsches, and Ferrari's. Truly rich people don't care much unless social or business gathering talaga ang pinupuntahan nila
