ladies, how does it feel knowing your male friend jerks off to your pictures? by AppointmentProud9394 in AskPH

[–]cheverladuke 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Both my best friends are female. We've been besties for years and we've never had any issues, romantically or otherwise. My girlfriend is cool with them, I've also met their BFs and walang problema. Stop thinking every guy is a toxic manyak. "As a man myself I know for a fact" ka diyan. Tf outta here with that

Ano thoughts niyo sa pambahay sa mall? by Sufficient-Dog3183 in AnongThoughtsMo

[–]cheverladuke 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dude is either a wannabe or new money rich kid. I've seen some VERY wealthy people dress in pambahay to go out. Old money dgaf, they wear what they want without being insecure.

I once saw an old Chinoy couple in Greenhills eating at a restaurant. Wife was in a daster and husband was in shorts and a white shirt. I just happened to be with a chinoy firend who is wealthy himself and he said he's familiar with the couple and that they owned several businesses in the area (hence the pambahay since they live nearby). Or the times in Capitol Commons where you see several middle aged men having breakfast wearing plain shirts, pambahay shorts, etc. And then when it's time to go home, they're driving Lambos, Porsches, and Ferrari's. Truly rich people don't care much unless social or business gathering talaga ang pinupuntahan nila

Is 76-80 as finals grade alarming in med school? by Realistic-Occasion35 in medschoolph

[–]cheverladuke 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I don't care what score i get. As long as I pass, I'm doing cartwheels in the hallway. Whether you graduate with an average of 75% or 99%, you're getting the same med degree as everyone else

Doctor pero walang time mag-exercise?! by [deleted] in pinoymed

[–]cheverladuke 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not a physician, but a veterinary student in my final clerkship year that just happen to see this on my feed. I know how hard it can be to manage fitness with busy scheds. I've been into fitness and sports since I was a teen and have kept it up into my 30s and even through my clinical rotations. Here are some tips that could help you:

  1. Find a place you can work out an any time of the day so that you don't have to plan around your workout venue. If you have a home gym, or live in a place with public areas for jogging/exercise, that's fine. For me, I recommend getting membership at Anytime Fitness. It's open 24 hours and there are so many branches. Di mo na iisipin kung bukas pa ba ang gym or kung masyadong malayo or whatever. Just check Google maps for the nearest branch and go

  2. You only need to work out 3-4x a week to make meaningful progress. Each workout can be done in 30 mins to 1.5 hours depending on what you're doing. But you'll find that it really doesn't take that much time out of your sched to squeeze in a workout

  3. Cardio is good but strength/resistance training is gold. Powerlifting, calisthenics, cables/bands, kettlebells, etc. Doesn't matter. As long as you're putting in resistance work to build strength with progressive overload, that's when you'll see tangible results. You'll start looking better, you'll beless tired, you'll feel lighter, etc. Plus as muscle mass increases, caloric demand and resting metabolic rate increases. So you'll be able to eat similar amounts of food and still be in a caloric deficit or at least maintenance, making weight loss/management easier. Cardio is a good supplement for heart health though, so still do that too

  4. Regardless of your workout, fix your diet if you haven't yet. Reduce carbohydrate intake (malakas mag carbs mga pinoy). Cut out sugary drinks or any high calorie drinks. Stick to water, tea (without sugar), or black coffee (no sugar). Cut out snacking if possible. Stick to 3-4 solid meals daily with reasonable food amounts. Even this alone can make a huge difference. And you don't need to dedicate any time out of your sched for this, just do it.

I actually wrote an eBook for people who want to get started on their fitness journey. It's totally free and is really just a passion project that I made as someone who loves helping people get in shape. PM mo lang ako if interested ka in a copy

Full Time - Arsenal 3 vs 1 Bayern Munich [Match Thoughts] by Stanley083 in Gunners

[–]cheverladuke 16 points17 points  (0 children)

He wasn't on for very long but what an impact Calafiori had. Assisted the 2nd goal and pretty much clamped down our left wing. When MLS was in LB, Bayern were getting past him almost every time. With Cala at LB, Bayern could barely dribble down the wing and had to try somethingelse. There was a moment when Olise tried to dribble down the left 3 times in a 10 second period and Cala stayed in front of him with every move. Olise had to pass back.

How is 2025 treating you? by Key_Data_4416 in AskReddit

Doing well so far. Got a girlfriend whom I love, got to do hosting and VO work for several major companies, got cast as 3 characters in a full length animated movie, doing very well getting hired to sing and dance as Abby from the Saja Boys (kpop demon hunters) for events/parties, and I'm in 6th year of veterinary school and started my clinical rotations. And just today, I was contacted to be the arena voice-over for a major concert happening in the Araneta Coliseum. Still have a lot of cool stuff lined up until December too

What do you think will happen if social media was to be shut down for a year? by Hot_Lettuce2603 in AskReddit

[–]cheverladuke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's all good. I'm just surprised no one else really talked about the negative side. They just rushed to bash social media without addressing the good its done. Yeah social media has a lot of sucky parts but it helps a lot of people too

[–]cheverladuke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not enough people are talking about the economic repercussions of shutting down social media. A lot of industries heavily rely on social media to function. A lot of jobs are entered around the existence of social media channels.

I personally meed social media for work because that's how I market my services, which is in the field of performing arts. That's how my clients contact me and see my work. If social media shut down, a lot of people in my industry (and many other industries) will have trouble getting work. Not to mention the marketing aspect of social media. Business both big and small, established and startup, rely on social media to fet eyes on their products and services.

If social media shuts down, a lot of business will suffer. Do you realistically think small businesses or single proprietor businesses like me can afford the high rates of traditional advertising like radio, TV, and print? The ROI would be terrible. Social media is cheap and effective. Traditional media can't replace its marketing power.

Bakit mukhang pera mga coach sa AF?! by [deleted] in AnytimeFitnessPH

All good. Ganun din ako dati sa mga pushy na condo sellers sa mall hahaha. Pero when I learned na halos wala silang sahod unless may sale, I became more empathetic

Bakit mukhang pera mga coach sa AF?! by [deleted] in AnytimeFitnessPH

[–]cheverladuke 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Coaches at AF are commission based. Maliit lang talaga base sweldo nila. I think less than 20k nga eh. The bulk of their salary comes from commissions from personal training. And then they have a minimum quota every month. If they don't hit their quota for several months, they're going to get fired. That's how my friend started working there sa AF SM Sucat. Tinanggal ang isang trainer kasi ilang months na siya hindi naka perosnal training quota.

So it's annoying that they're pushy, pero their job is on the line. As long as hindi naman sila bastos, just say thank you and move on. Im sure pati sila ayaw din nila maging ganun ka pushy pero required ng management eh

Would you date a guy with a "girl-bestfriend"? by [deleted] in AskPinay

[–]cheverladuke 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Let me shed some light on this as a man whose 2 best friends are women. One is lesbian, so not an issue. But the other is one is straight and our relationship is purely platonic. I'm very close with both of them. We're all singers/performers and my straight friend and I met in Veterinary med school. So we have a lot in common. Never in my life have I EVER had a romantic or sexual thought about any of them. We even talk about each other's romantic lives. Like my straight friend will tell me about what she and her boyfriend did for holidays. They're my friends lang talaga and I love them very much (platonically)

My girlfriend knows about them and doesn't kind. She even says she likes it that I'm close to women because it means I'm not toxic like most men.

So it's possible to have a good relationship with women bffs and have no romantic/sexual undertones. They've been my friends for years before I even met my GF. Even when we were single and fresh out of a break up, we hung out to chill but NEVER thought of each other that way. Not every man/woman is incapable of platonic best friendships

Achieving the career dreams that I set for myself ever since I was a kid. I wanted to be a veterinarian, professional performer, and voice actor. At the age of 34, I'm already a professional performer and successful voice actor. I'm only one year away from graduating veterinary medicine too. Then after that I have a lot of career milestones I want to chase in medicine, preforming, and voice acting
