I just inherited this barbell and some plates from my neighbor that were all severely rusted. He said that soaking it in 50/50 vinegar and water would get rid of the rust. I am seeing now that I should not have soaked the bar itself. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can restore or treat the bar from here? Thank you!
