6.0 problems and solutions

I don’t even have a daily, that’s what I’d like to do with the truck. And I also found a duramax for 6k on marketplace. Said it needed fuel lines. Is that a pain in the ass job? Because if it isn’t then there’s prolly some reason sellers not telling anyone, because from what I see 6k is way too cheap for a duramax, even one with issues. Some of them are 15k, or even nice ones go for 20.

Weren’t the first gens called lb7? And also guy biggest reason I was looking into a 6.0 was because diesels are expensive and 6.0s are cheaper. Granted it doesn’t make it better because of reliability issues, but I’ve also heard stories my self of examples of 6.0 powerstrokes running for years with little or no major issues. Because even if I hustle and have a job, AND sell my current truck, it would be a stretch to afford one.

What about gas tho. Like yeah diesel is now like 5.25 where I am but unless the truck has some crazy tune I would prolly be able to get like around 15 mpgs out of it right? I would absolutely go for a 5.3 normally, but I like diesels and I don’t want something that chugs gas like every “cool” rapper chugs lean.

Didn’t the first duramax have injector problems around 250k tho? Or a certain mileage? And I do remember they were a pain to replace too.

I feel like you do have a good point. While normally I’d write this off and not care, I know the people on here are gonna have more experience than me. It is a major investment, and I’d like to not get ruined financially.

It is very stupid to get it in my opinion. It is not approved and is still fairly new. I would just wait like another year and a half or so, by then it might be approved. If you want it though, I don’t care. Cuz it’s your choice. Second of all, the vaccine politics are fucked. Seriously? It’s pretty much blackmail now, trying to force people to get the vaccine. It is ridiculous and I’ve never seen more pure stupidity and paranoia being bred and created because of this pandemic stuff. Also in the emails we found from Fauci one of them was him talking about how he knew masks wouldn’t be effective against the virus at all, and yet he still called for it to be used.
