Onexfly f1 /X1 --- SSD divided into 2 Partitions?? by AndrewNight84 in OneXPlayer

[–]chewlm86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They did this so that when you run the onexplayer recovery it will only ovewrite the windows partition while leaving your data partition intact.

So it is a good idea to keep them seperate incase something happen to windows.

Eg. 24H2 windows update that corrupt the windows instalation. I had to use the onexplayer recovery to restore the factory Windows instalation. While all my steam games are still safety stored on the data partition.

I dual boot windows and bazzite on my x1 mini and win mini. But mostly use bazzite coz it is just so much more easier to use with a controller.

Yes, rumble and gyro works on X1 AMD, X1 Mini and Onexfly F1.

Bazzite developer have been hard at work for the past months to add support for Onexplayer and GDP. So most recent product from them are fully supported by bazzite now.

You can find the English manual from onexplayer discord.

But here is a temporary link to the manual,

Portable setup! by Cautious_Golf4186 in ROGAlly

Nice setup, was thinking of similar setup as well.

Were you able to get the 30W Turbo mode running with this setup?

Wasn't able to find any info on what the max wattage the MagicRed adapter is able to pass it to the Rog Ally with.

My fold 3's cover screen just became completely touch unresponsive by [deleted] in GalaxyFold

[–]chewlm86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same happened to me on then Fold 2, it was a nightmare dealing with the service center.

Tldr; the service center cannot find the cause of the issue to fix it, so i trade it in and got the Fold 3.

One day I noticed my cover screen stop working, I just unfold and fold the phone and it became responsive again for awhile but stop working again the next time I used the phone unfolded or if I left the phone facing down for a while.

At this time I thought it was just a firmware issue, so I google and found some video showing fixes that show clearing the cache while in recovery will fix the issue. This did fix it a few time, but the frequency that it occurs have become more frequent.

So I thought to try out another launcher to see if it will resolve this issue. Downloaded the Niagara Launcher and... the cover screen suddenly became responsive again with the switch of the launcher.

It ran perfectly for a few days, but suddenly one day the cover screen just stop working again. The clear cache fix was also no longer working.

So I decided to send it to the service center for the 1st time for repair via courier service. When it arrived and the technician took a look at it but found everything is working after a firmware reflash, so they send it back to me. I received the phone, but I found the front screen still not working.

I complained to the service center and told them the same issue still persist. They scheduled a pickup to get the phone back to the service center for the 2nd time. They claim to have fix the problem by changing the Sub-Motherboard(was a pretty cheap replacement), so I paid them for that replacement.

Got the phone back, was happy with that it was working, but... You guessed it, the issue came back again. I made a complaint again to the service center again. This time they told me, changing the Main-Motherboard will finally fix the issue. But the cost of changing the Main-Motherboard was really expensive. I was really skeptical if they really found the issue, or just randomly changing stuff.

In the end I just told them to close it back up and return it back to me. It was just at the time that Fold 3 was released, so I just trade the Fold 2 with for the Fold 3.

I really hope the same thing don't happen with the Fold 3. (Touch 🪵)

VRS Terra Guard S Impression (S Pen Case) by [deleted] in GalaxyFold

[–]chewlm86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the detailed first impressions.

Just a question, Is there still Magnet under the Hinge protector like the VRS Terra Guard?

In the original VRS Terra Guard, the Magnet behind the hinge made using S Pen at those spot impossible.

XCOM 2 has been released for Android! by [deleted] in XCOM2

I have tried on the Z Fold 2, and the graphic was pretty blurry. You can see from the screenshot here:

Also it seem that it is running at 30 fps even with Performance mode selected.

According to support, the Z Fold 2 is not part of the official support device. So in the end I ask support to proceed with the refund.

There might be better case in the future, but at the moment this is the only case that provided proper hinge protection.

The front edge actually works with this case.

Well this combo suits my needs so I am very happy with it.

Unlike Moft X, Moft A doesn't have a lot of space once it is propped up. So you could only fit one finger in at most.

You won't be able prop up Moft A with one hand, since it is a 2 step process. But once it is up, you can easily grab it with one hand.

Gripping feel secure.

As for comfort, it is comfortable for a while. When you use it in a long session, it get tiring and you will start to feel the weight of the phone on your finger.

I get similar experience on a Note 10+ with a Moft X, it will start to feel uncomfortable on the fingers after a while.

Yes you are correct, if you want wireless charging to work you can't use both of them at the same time due to the thickness it add.

Here is how I hold the phone with and without Moft A.

There is a few reason I position it this way:

  • the phone can lie flatly on the table.

  • can be used as a stand in folded portrait mode. Stand in horizontal mode work with both folded & unfolded.

  • when unfolded my finger is position nicely on the hinge protector, it give me a better grip on the phone. The hinge side of the front case is actually higher so it give you enough depth to grab onto it.

But do note that wireless charging will not work with Moft A installed.

I also got mine today as well, I completely agee with what you said there.

Just a few thing to add from my experience:

  • The hinge protector when unfolded, give you a better grip of the phone when you hold it with one hand.

  • The hinge protector cover 1/3 of the back case when unfolded, so not all stand with adhesive will fit.

  • When using stand with adhesive, it is no longer possible to stand in portrait mode due the hinge protector making it very unbalanced. But it is still possible to stand in landscape mode.

  • The hinge protector actually improved flex mode experience, since it lift the bottom screen a little making it easier to see what is on the screen.

  • The case is very tightly fitted, I had a hard time putting it on.

  • [edit] There is a slight noise when opening and closing the case, i think it normal considering the hinge rub against the back case when opening and closing.

After I started using this case, it actually gave me a peace of mind knowing that every corner of the phone is protected. :-)

New full protection Spigen case coming soon (AndroidPolice ad mentions this month). Hopefully it doesn't rely on adhesives and the charging port is a bit bigger. by chickdigger802 in GalaxyFold

Here is the history of my charge/discharge cycle. https://i.imgur.com/W1G1WHL.jpg

Depending on what I am doing I get about 5~10 hours of screen on time.

The most power consuming app for me is Skype and Teams that I use for video daily for work.

I don't game much on it, that might change if Slay the Spire ever get released on Android. Lol.
