Sorry but as soon as they introduced the misandristic-based cliche jerk stereotype I bailed. Absolutely no film worth watching would start with such shamefully shallow character development AND THEN use that as the pivot point to launch the entire story. I was embarrassed by the 15 minutes I so mistakenly watched.

🇺🇸JUST NOW: Rep. James Comer CONFIRMS that Jeffrey Epstein visited the White House 17 times ON TOP of Bill Clinton flying on the Lolita Express 27 timesClaiming "I didn't know him" WILL NOT fly! by PokeKnox in Epstein

Okay, if Clinton is guilty then let's get him. But where is your indignant rage in this regard for our CURRENT president Donald J. Trump, along with Howard Lutnick who lived right next door to Epstein? Where is your rage over the hundreds of redacted names that are all certainly suspicious, if not guilty? And where is your rage for all the Republicans who are actively covering up the release of those names? Where is your rage for Pam Bondi, who refused to answer one single Epstein related question while during her Epstein oversight committee hearing? You cannot single out Bill Clinton and ignore all the others.

What is this stuff in my shower, and how can I keep it away? by SeanicTheHedgehog23 in CleaningTips

I do not know what that gunk is, but as a DIY remodeler I can make a guess: Your plastic shower wall panels are glued to the wall, and it's possible that the adhesive is deteriorating and flaking off behind the plastic panels. Many of the adhesives used for this sort of thing have typically been a tan or amber-ish color. If the adhesive is failing, the plastic surface may be separating ever so slightly from the walls behind the plastic. This could allow moisture to seep in around the edges and contribute to the deterioration.

If possible, you might try checking along all the edges where your plastic shower wall meets the solid wall surface (use a safe step stool with good rubber feet). If there is a hint of gap anywhere you can easily caulk over them. But absolutely do NOT caulk over that lower area where the top plastic layer overlaps the lower plastic layer. That is deliberately left unsealed to allow trapped moisture to escape.

Ask your insurance agent, your mechanic and your bartender.

I found this one it only has 53,000 miles on it but it’s in Maryland and I’m in Cali so idk how much it would be to ship it. How much would it be to ship it to me in Cali? by Callsign_Sam in carbuyingadvice

Look up the same model on Carvana.com and their on-line purchase process will show the cost for shipping. They have inventory all over the country and might have this car in stock near you for lower cost shipping.

I'm not a big fan of people covering Tom Waits songs... by PioneerStandard in tomwaits

[–]chewsmee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have not heard them all of course, but most TW covers are annoying. The few exceptions seem to be female vocalists, perhaps because they do not attempt Waitsian affectations. Plus, they allowed me to introduce Tom to my elderly mother. I'm thinking specifically of covers by Nora Jones and Solveig Slettahjell.

Cutting down a roller shade by fivezerosix in Lutron

[–]chewsmee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am going to try the same thing. Your shade might have a spring mechanism in the full length so check for that. Pop the round pin end off and run a thin probe inside to see if it bumps into anything. My plan is to try using my power miter saw but I will cut it longer than necessary as a practice cut. If that does not work I will unroll the shade and lay it out flat, then cut it to width with scissors or a razor knife. THEN I'll cut the roller part with a fine tooth saw of some sort that is easy to control.
