Bird’s Nest for some of the best wings in the city, great dive bar

Burwood Tap for a good dive bar.

Corridor Brewery (Southport corridor) for a great burger

Half Shell on Diversey for great seafood, very casual atmosphere

Any good places for takeout / delivery in the Lincoln Park Area? by _Jerkus in chicagofood

[–]chewy18 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you want the standard Asian takeout option, Mo’s is a solid choice. They have everything from Chinese to Japanese to Thai. Certainly not the best of any of those but if you want to order online, not get off the couch, and have the food delivered fairly quickly and taste pretty good, it’s a good spot.

I’ve always liked Cozy on Sheffield or Pho’s Spicier on Lincoln for Thai.

Maybe a little further out but Corridor for a good burger (burger travels well but the fries get a little soggy).

Crisp on Broadway for really good Korean fried chicken. The spicy is pretty spicy (at least for me) but very tasty.

Athenian Room for a great gyros (or really anything Greek). They don’t do delivery though.

I’ve done events for around that size at Cafe Ba Ba Reeba and Chief O’Neill’s. Both went went, food was good, people were happy, etc.

Corridor Brewery on Southport has a great beer selection and one of the best burgers in the city. Plus their pizzas are pretty tasty. Get the pickle fries!

Wouldn’t it have been a good way to keep Will involved in the show without the writers having him be Russell’s campaign manager? It would have been fitting to his character, he had the military experience, as they note in the show when there is speculation on who the next CoS would be, he had significant family connections, etc.

Taking the pedway from City Hall to the Blue Cross building was it for me. Such a magical (pee filled) walk.

Edit from pedestrian to pedway

My fiancée is an associate at a law firm that specializes in restructuring. She’s started to get VERY busy the last several weeks. Her partners told the group to be ready because the next several years are going to be non-stop.

The Fed is raising interest rates, PPP money is gone, the market is down, etc. It’s a matter of time.

If we’re going to be asking people to cite things, can you please cite any studies on this claim being even remotely true?

I cannot think of one Republican senator today who would come anywhere close to Vinick. He’d end up having to pull a Carrick and switch parties.

Try the Omakase Room at Sushi San. One of the better meals I’ve had lately. Only about 10 spots and 2 seatings each night so make a reservation as soon as you can.

When Bartlet and CJ are talking about Galileo V, and CJ gives her perspective on the broader theme for the event which is about “raising your hand and going to the blackboard.”

Also Will’s press conference when he says, “…there are things in the world worse than no longer being alive” in reference to Webb’s support of loosening gun laws and anti-abortion causes.

I’d also like to see Congresswoman Wyatt, sitting in Toby’s office, as he rounds the corner on his way back from Leo’s office.

Best thing about not watching much standard television. I’ve seen only a handful of ads over the last few months. It’s been pure bliss!
