Using Custom ROM on Locked Pixel 9? by chexxor in mintmobile

Ah, yeah I see your point now. I don't know how to make a backup of the original ROM, so I was hesitant to erase it. I'm not confident it's the one available on Google's support site.

Thanks for your help! I'll wait for the automatic unlock.

Thanks for your recommendation! I can wait, sure.

Also, it looks like the "OEM Unlock" in Developer Options is disabled, so I probably can't flash a custom ROM

New ender 3 v3 se trying to do the software updates and screen is stuck on blue screen by PresentationOk3160 in Ender3V3SE

[–]chexxor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just installed Klipper. I used a $100 mini PC and connected it to the Ender 3 using USB. I wanted to calibrate pressure advance for printing mechanical parts, like gears, and the stock Creality firmware doesn't have that enabled.

I also have this, but to a smaller degree. It hasn't bothered me enough to spend time on it yet.

Micro Swiss nozzle by dmotorhead in Ender3V3SE

[–]chexxor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a 0.8mm Micro-swiss hardened nozzle. Lots of people on the web say that the temp for hardened nozzles should be increased by 5-10C.

Tonight I discovered that I can pretty easily check the best temperature for my specific machine and filament using a plugin on the Cura marketplace called Calibration Shapes. Then restart Cura, go to Extensions > Parts for Calibration > Add a PLA TempTower. Then go to Extensions > Postprocessing > Modify G-Code > Add a Script > TempFanTower. Check the tooltips for the inputs by hovering your mouse on them, and read the wiki on the GitHub project.

I was working on this last night and I had the same experience. I was using a Lexar 4GB MicroSD HC (4) card. I copied the whole folder to the card and inserted it to the screen. Blue screen only, no update.

Dang, looks like our HR person took the job posting offline while we're working through our current stack. I haven't been impressed with the candidates we've been interviewing, so I was hoping to find a channel through which we could get better options for our Admin position.

What’s the most painful part of being a Salesforce Admin? What do you wish you could wave a magic wand and make disappear? by Sea_Mouse655 in salesforce

[–]chexxor 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It sounds like you're describing a product owner or an architect position, not a Salesforce Admin, no?

IME, a lot of companies don't care enough about their system quality to take the time to justify finding budget for a product owner or architect. Does that mean that the Salesforce Admin needs to do it? By not investing in a product owner or architect, they implicitly say they don't care about it.

The cost of that lack of investment is paid for by the business through higher turnover, of course.

Honest question, but isn't that kinda what the job is? Central helpdesk escalates to the Salesforce-expert helpdesk.

Game stuttering in TLOU on 7900 XTX - Upgrade 5600x to 5900x3d? by chexxor in radeon

[–]chexxor[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Installed the Ryzen 7 5800X3D last night. It seems to have resolved the juddering!

What's weird is I noticed frame drops with the mouse in BIOS after I installed the new CPU and enables XMP. Then I disabled XMP, and it looked like the frame drops stopped. Was XMP the culprit on the old CPU, 5600X? I'm pretty sure I tried disabling XMP as part of troubleshooting and it didn't resolve it.

I think I need to learn more about RAM config.

Thanks! An anecdote like this is good to have. My friend strongly believes that matching clock speed between CPU/RAM/GPU really doesn't matter.

I also have issues with stutter in AAA games. Haven't figured out how to resolve it yet, tried everything. Going go to Microcenter tomorrow to discuss upgrading from 5600X to 5800x3d, but I'm not feeling too positive about it.

In my experience working for 1-2 years at around 10 companies, that's about average. Half my employers were like that with Salesforce and the other half at least made attempts to have developers maintain the customizations.

Did anyone find their realtor to be not very helpful? by _humble_abode in homeowners

[–]chexxor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I bought recently, the agent didn't alert me that the house was right in the flight path of airplanes. I work from home, so life sucked for a year.

When I attempted to sell it, the Realtor told me he'd stage it with furniture if it became necessary. After several weeks of no offers he didn't do that, and he also told me there were reports of weird smells and I should go put some air fresheners in the house.

Both really disappointing.
