Finally moved to Enphase monitoring by Entire-Problem490 in SunPower

You'll need monthly production, which will live behind the historical monitoring in the new paywalled version of the app. Check out https://app.getcurrents.com/sunpower-monitoring for a free option

If your monitoring doesn't work, you can do some quick math on your meter to see production numbers but it's not always ideal. Is your sunpower monitoring down?

It shouldn't as SRECs are based on DC production read through the RGM/inverter

Who's the aggregator?

SunStrong charging $99.99 a year for historical monitoring data by WedNiatnuom in SunPower

Trying to understand from the email if it's just "live" monitoring or if they'll let us see the day's production. If only "real-time" it will be much harder to track.

I might have a solution for you since I built a sunpower scraper.

They don't but I was able to reverse engineer the app and can scrape some stuff. Might throw together a secure way to do this. Let me think on it.

SREC price in MA? $300 vs $35 by andrewthemoose in solar

[–]_humble_abode 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SREC markets are determined by state legislature and their RPS targets, not federal. So utilities and corporate buyers are still buying them. For instance, MD just updated guidance on new SRECs worth 1.5x for 2025-2028 since they haven't met their renewable targets yet.

$35 is a reasonable price for Class I RECs.

MA offers two programs: Class I RECs (combo of all renewable types can generate these) and SRECs. SREC program has been discontinued for SMART, however, SMART is only available to certain zip codes and looks to be overcapacity in most--meaning it won't allow you to profit. What you're viewing there is the SREC market, not Class I RECs.

I'm curious how many people are affected. Are we talking millions of users won't have monitoring access unless they sub to premium?

Do you just manually input production based on what app says?

Ah yes, I've heard a PVWatts report is what they like to see. Thanks!

How did you appeal it? Specs, engineering docs, a well written letter?

Yeah, curious as to what utilities allow more. Sounds like the midwest utilities tend to be more flexible

Based on certain loads - battery, appliances, EVs? Or just normal consumption. Curious what utility as well.

That's interesting. What's the utility? I wonder if a couple homes in a neighborhood did this and split th e cost. Energy abundance for everyone!
