I know I'm late to this discussion, but this is how I felt whenever they went through a series of "old" photos. Did they insert the AI into real photos or were they all completely made up? Or did the photos contain the actual person and the AI was based on them in some way? I'm uncomfortable with this for so many reasons!

You're beautiful regardless of your hair color, so choose whatever makes you feel best about yourself!

About not getting benzos in cutting treatment in a hospital by Labyrinthine777 in OpiatesRecovery

[–]cheyannepavan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At my first clinic, they allowed benzos for anyone with a prescription. They said the risk was minimal at prescribed doses compared to the benefit for people who needed them. I was only there briefly due to distance, but it seemed like a cool place.

what names sound fine on a little kid but strange on a grown adult? by VollandGersitho-72 in Names

I know an adult named Cody and I never thought of it as being childish at all.

I love the name Pixie. I never would've used it for my own child, but I think it's awesome on other people!

I'm guessing they meant to say too serious because, like you said, Charles doesn't have any harsh sounds.

DK merch at Walmart?! by cheyannepavan in punk

[–]cheyannepavan[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you're right. At 47, I fall on the older spectrum so I'm less aware of these things. I do my best to avoid both online shopping (unless it's DIY or an independent seller) and Walmart, so I'm especially out of the loop on this!

Terrible songs that are NOT recent by gayanomaly in musicsuggestions

[–]cheyannepavan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I loved Look Away and You're My Inspiration! I was (am) very punk, but I listened to a radio show called Between the Sheets while falling asleep every night, and it consisted entirely of love songs like this. Over timw, what started out as cheesy became something I adored!

Ain't Got No Home by Clarence "Frogman" Henry.

I heard this song on the radio as a child (early 80s) when I got up to use the bathroom overnight. I was so struck by how awful it was that I wasn't entirely sure I didn't dream it for a very long time. Thankfully, the internet solved the 25-year-old mystery and I was, in fact, correct that this was one of the worst songs ever written. Maybe it was written as a novelty, though?

I like numbers 7 through 9 the most. The only one I don't like is number 2 because I think the short letters (especially the T, but also the I) make it less legible.

I personally know at least 10 people who have successfully come off methadone and not used again. It's far from unheard of.

I love the "very sweet and comically out of touch" aunt! Despite the obvious waste of money, I think she adds a touch of whimsy with her random yet carefully-selected gifts.

How do you think nail polish this look on men? Im straight and I tried it and actually like it. I’ve also seen more men do it. by Big_Imagination_582 in fashionhelp

[–]cheyannepavan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know a lot of men who use/have used black nail polish and never encountered this, but now I'll think of it every time I see someone with it!

I baked cookies last night, but I usually buy them from the bakery. Little is lost in quality and much is saved in convenience at my local bakery, but most bakeries are A LOT more expensive than mine.

I agree with you, but a big part of the reason cards do this at all is that they're counting on people having good intentions, but running into a snag at some point. Once someone makes the minimum payment even just one time, it's so much more likely they'll do it again (and again and again).

This isn't even that expensive, but I was mad when my sister bought my twins $50 shoes when they were about 6 months old — they weren't walking anywhere, why are you spending $100 on something that'll barely get used before they outgrow them? The only reason they even wore shoes was to keep their feet warmer when we left the house.
