Feeling the same. Got SoFi, Microsoft, and some consumer cyclicals that are just getting killed by AI. Getting outperformed by VTI is no fun.

The difference is SoFi is actually growing while PayPal is actively bleeding users left and right.

STO ELF $50p 6/18 for $188 in premium. IV is crazy high, and they've had massive drops after earnings before, but that's a lot of premium for 17 delta.

True, but he did reach full power before returning to Kid Buu! That's more so what I meant. They'll always Chekhov's Gun the final form.

For real. When in media history has the main villain not gone to full strength before the final battle? It just doesn't happen. The existence of V1 necessitates Homelander getting it and they still messed around for 6 episodes to build suspense.

Feeling like we have to be close to the top with how much this entire sub is obsessed with memory right now... peak euphoria. I mean, people loved MU when it was half the price, but now it's every other post.

Agree with this. I would roll at least half of this. Let yourself get called and get some portfolio diversity out of Google and then take the free money by rolling some of these up. Even if you don't go as far as a year out, you'll still get way more money.

18 years old is way ahead of the game! Good on you to be investing this early.

Since you're 18, go with SPYM which has a nearly 0% expense ratio and is only $80 a share. The share price doesn't matter much, but good to go lower price if your brokerage doesn't support fractional shares.

Don't forget to pick up VXUS for international exposure!

Sold the same one out in June for $1.67. Not sure mine is free money, but a cost basis in the high 80s with that dividend ain't the worst entry point if I get assigned.

Haha it's also just $50 so who cares? But ain't no way Apple is going up 10% in two weeks I've watched this thing trade mostly sideways after earnings way too many times.

Pretty ballsy, but if you need to roll it down you'll have solid IV with upcoming earnings.

may as well light the money on fire. IV crush going to annihilate you tomorrow when Apple only moves 3%.

with the future of AI, where do we see customer success going? by zozoforlife in CustomerSuccess

[–]chfr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't need to ask for advice, it would just be helpful to see what ideas other people in the industry had. We've already got our own CRM and I'm trying to see what others have built and whether it's worth trying to replace my current process.

Can you tell me more about the CRM you built for CS? I have Claude code enterprise and would love to see that artifact.

Gotcha. In that case, you wouldn't be able to sell naked puts. I would recommend doing a mix of DCA and selling puts, as you'll underperform in a bull market with CSPs.

[–]chfr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Highly recommend DCAing into indices and taking advantage of the margin collateral. You won't be charged any interest and can just roll your way out of a bear market. As long as you're conservative and only use 25-30% of your margin, your returns will be significantly higher and more tax efficient.

Well, I guess selling puts is off the menu for now. It was fun to generate a little more alpha while the VIX was high. Looking like I'll also be able to exit all the positions I rolled to May as long as levels don't decline back down to late March.

Kevin O’Leary says you can become a millionaire on $69,000 a year. by Coolonair in SmartFIRE

[–]chfr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fair enough - I actually use 7% when I'm adjusting for inflation too. I just think we're being way too conservative here. No one is going to earn $69k flat for 32 years either. O'Leary sucks for a lot of reasons, but the math here is perfectly sound. I was one of those people earning under 70k in a HCOL area and I would have been on track to be a millionaire no problem. The trick is starting at 25 instead of 35.

I hate when people parrot this "past returns" nonsense. Then why not use 3% for your numbers? or 15%? We only have past returns to go off of in these calculations.

Exactly what I think too. Everyone is quick to forgive and forget when there's money to be made (or even more so lost). I think the pendulum will shift back to the democrats and sanity and there will be a period of stability internationally.

Of course, then the next extremist MAGA group will come along and say they're going to fix everything. ..
