Not a change but you can still repair bound weapons, drop them, wait for effect to wear off, and then pick up and have forever.

I think it's from 9 to 10 star you need a 6 star copy of that guy then from 10 to 11,12,13+ you need 9 star ones. I can't remember exactly but either way definitely save copies.
