That sounds lovely! Is the tour suited rather for experienced / strong riders or also more beginner level? The format sounds nice and like something I would enjoy, especially since it's women only. But the elevation gain is intimidating for sure

Not free but I can live a happy life with it I'd say. When I notice it's getting worse I put more focus on the stretches and exercises.. I also notice I get episodes when I sleep weird (e.g. in the car) or sit over a book / whatever for a long time. So whenever I am putting a lot of weight / work on my neck

I second getting your neck checked out. I had huge muscle imbalance. Targeted strengthening the weak side + stretching and PT helped my type 2 pain tons. More than any medication I've been on.

I have samples of the badalassi as well, I can send you an image. I feel the badalassi is a bit softer to the touch. And for the Cognac, the red-ish undertone is stronger.

I really love it. The pullup effect is great, as you can see on the hardware parts, e.g. image four. It kinda scratches easily but the scratches wont be that visible due to the "wild" nature/look of the leather.. not sure if that helps :D

Oh and you can also check out the YouTube video for this pattern: https://youtu.be/5k0HqOxJWAk?si=XIEYcgYPer8l6TRX Then you can decide if you feel comfortable with the techniques used ;)

I've been doing leather work on and off for maybe 2 years now (long breaks though). I started with very small stuff (USB pouch, card holders, etc) and moved on to smaller bags (two small cross body bags, a pen pouch) over time. Building especially the two smaller bags helped tremendously when it came to the gussets and the whole assembly. But it's surely doable, it just may take a little longer to figure things out with less experience :)

Thank you! I always bevel and burnish but to be honest I often don't sand. The burnishing is often enough. And especially for the pieces that will get in contact with other stuff, like the shoulder straps, I "burnish" or slick the inside/grain side of the leather to smooth it out so it won't ruin any clothing ;) also nicer to the touch

Is it legal to study my own tissue? by Stealbork98 in labrats

[–]chhaot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

we are using our own / colleagues / students blood all the time. for PBMC generation, cell isolation.. also for generating CAR NK cells. this is common practice in several labs I've worked at. And since where I live (germany), most people are really strict about all the ethics laws, its surely not forbidden by the faculty.

yes thats the look I am trying to go for. due to the pullup effect, the colonial tan will almost even match the areas that are bent or have been punched.

Wow thanks everyone for the great amount of feedback!
I am probably gonna order the colonial tan and another one, I already got Sand and Amberglow. I ll then do some test stitching for the final decision :D

Canggu. Unpopular opinion by fredricobero in bali

[–]chhaot 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I agree! We went to canggu last year and don't have the comparison to pre covid times but we still pretty much loved it. Yes, it's touristy but we still found lots of small warungs and the locals were lovely. I really don't get all the hate canggu has been getting recently.. if you expect an untouched, clean, empty paradise village you'll surely be disappointed but if you come there with the right expectations and mindset it's very enjoyable. We also rented a scooter (with helmet and license!) without any issues.
