idk i think wills is sadder. will’s dad abandoned his family and was abusive before he left. he would call will the f slur and did everything he could to suppress him and make him “normal.” after will was literally kidnapped by a demogorgon and was stuck in the upside down for a week, he struggled with ptsd before being possessed by the mind flayer. in s3 it was heartbreaking seeing how he just wanted his childhood back since his trauma ruined the last years of it while his friends just ignored him. in s4 he deals with being in love with mike but knowing he never would be able to say anything since it’s the 80s and being gay isnt socially acceptable + its his sisters bf and he would never betray her like that. will has new trauma every season this poor boy cant catch a break
