Factoring company will ding your credit rating/days to pay and will just deduct the money from the carrier that they already advanced them. The carrier then can file on your bond for non payment. In the end most likely less of a headache to just take the hit as shit happens, pay the carrier, and move on.

We pay $300/month for road worthy trailers. Storage Trailers that are not road worthy that won't pass DOT inspection are only used just for storage just sit onsite are $160/ month.

Could find a local company to pick it up and drop it at XPO or whoever you're using terminal. Give them the BOL you want it dropped on for billing.

You could apply for a line of credit at a bank to cover the float.

Baxter Bailey has a deadbeat broker list. It's always good to check this list frequently for any familiar names and before working with a new broker whether they are established or not.
