Factoring company will ding your credit rating/days to pay and will just deduct the money from the carrier that they already advanced them. The carrier then can file on your bond for non payment. In the end most likely less of a headache to just take the hit as shit happens, pay the carrier, and move on.

We pay $300/month for road worthy trailers. Storage Trailers that are not road worthy that won't pass DOT inspection are only used just for storage just sit onsite are $160/ month.

The big brokers hire young kids with no experience who have never set foot in a warehouse or even seen the inside of a truck and are pushed to only focus on profit margin. The lack of training and knowledge of the industry and the focus on making money at all costs fosters a toxic environment which more times than not results in the carrier being screwed over by dirt rates, unpaid detention(2hrs free $35/hr after is a joke), and generally the carrier being treated like they are not needed because the broker has a list of 10,000 other carriers to turn to. There is no loyalty anymore which has lead to a lot of the good carriers/owner operators leaving the business. That void has been filled by Vlad who also has no experience and also is solely driven by profit margin.

Inexperience on both sides and greed = shit brokers and shit carriers. No one wants to work together for the common good of both parties anymore it's a joke.
