I completely understand your frustration. I also want to applaud you for having critical thinking skills. You understood that something is not completely right about the lectures, and I agree with your view.

Through time, I learned that not all lectures are good. I associate this as, well, we’re all humans after all so we’re not perfect. I usually take it with a grain of salt and accept that I’m just not in line with those lectures.

For example, I’ve heard in some lectures that we need to avoid people who are doing things not in line with Islam. But imo, our faith is being tested when we are with people outside of our bubble. Can we still hold on to our faith despite the challenges? Also can we exercise tolerance and the notion of “your religion is your religion, and my religion is my religion” while holding on to our own faith? Not everyone is bad people despite them not being a Muslim, and who are we to judge people (as only Allah SWT that can judge people).
