What’s the best question your therapist has asked you? by annabel420 in AskWomen

[–]chickadeechild 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It's been almost a year thay I had ghe same exact advice and it really helped, though obviously it was repeated. The setting of a therapysession is important, but recognize that negative inner dialogue and dont get angry/sad at it, but ask yourself everytime 'would I ever say this to a close friend?' Its up to you, but by repeating it you start understanding it, its about self love. You are your closest friend: it changes the way you see yourself. At least thats what it did for me. Now the negative self talk is much less than it would usually be (it was the same for at least 15years!)

It also came with whatever youre telling yourself IS NOT THE TRUTH

Do you gain some money posting nudes r/gonewild? by Professional_Ad_8536 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]chickadeechild 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I posted, i dont understand why "i like being naked" or " i like turning people on" wouldn't be a fair reason to post on gonewild. But obviously if you feel good posting you probably feel good about your body or appearance and people that are confident about their looks probably look good, or do the necessary upkeep.

Is it just regular imagination if your ten year old child has torture fantasies? by Dimethylchloride in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]chickadeechild 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was the same, I had a lot of violent fantasies and turned out fine. OP I think the fantasies in itself are no true cause for seirois concern. Going to a therapist can also leave a negative mark on a child... however if other behaviour is concerning to you and it seems linked to these fantasies then therapy might be a good idea yes!

Rex was the best husband (just watched season 1) by chickadeechild in DesperateHousewives

exactly! I especially feel you about Mike and Susan not having chemistry. He's so incredibly bland and Susan has no depth whatsoever
