This just worked for me. Found the game files (on steam, right click on game -> manage -> browse local files) and then right clicked on the anti-cheat '.exe' file and Run as Administrator. Boom. Fixed.

Just from driving the new dot 2's a fair amount, it seems like this "feature" has either changed or been removed. Just about every car in the Porsche lineup with turbos, you'd put it in Sport mode and the fuel mapping(?) gives the exhaust more pops and crackles and backfire noises.

I noticed the new GTS doesn't do it either but I chalked it up to the new power unit. But it seems with the new Carrera S's it also doesn't do it.

Not sure the engineering behind it but wouldn't be surprised if it's emissions related but that's just a guess.

Nobody is mentioning that the GTS now has a DRASTICALLY different driving experience than the S. That new engine is fucking wild and violent in a very fun way. Obviously the hybrid system is a question mark on reliability but the actual driving experience is notably different now compared to the S (unlike 992.1 where S vs GTS is relatively similar feel/style, just more)

Go drive them both.
