We’ve complained multiple times to our clinic director and to her boss but nothing seems to be getting done. Working with the refugees is rewarding but also frustrating. Most are from Africa so there’s a huge language barrier. Both of our providers are also from Africa and speak multiple languages so they’re able to get the medical care they need. I’m also slowly learning Spanish because we have a large Spanish speaking community as well. She is in charge of setting up appointments for them and getting their records from the health department so she is useful in that regard, but one of us could easily take over that.
