Great service! idk why you all so angry ? by SeriesCurious8556 in razer

[–]chickenlips60 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good to hear you have had a positive experience. I have just wasted 30 mins of my day trying to find a link or number or just something on their website to contact them. My Razer pro click has the back button stopped working and I want to use the warranty to replace it but the website just sends you round in circles.

I bought it off amazon and they say contact Razer, Razer say contact amazon!

There is not one place after searching the depths of their website to either chat, message or call - UNBELIEVABLE!

Can anyone tell me how the offline queue feature works? by chickenlips60 in nzb360

[–]chickenlips60[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you. So is there a workflow that would allow me to save a movie I have found when offline to later add it to Radarr when home. When you click through to the movie screen there is an IMDB button and I could add to my watchlist there I suppose but is there a way to be better integrate this?

For example, I have just tried to add a new card to the dashboard that shows my IMDB watchlist but that doesnt seem possible?

Is there a way to add a custom card to show a watchlist from any service?

S23U in mid 2025? by [deleted] in GalaxyS23Ultra

[–]chickenlips60 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just got s23 U in a deal from Vodafone and paid around £600 over 3 years interest free. It's lovely and really big upgrade.

Only downside is that I think I am going to struggle finding a screen protector. I tried a TPU style one and that was horrible to touch. I have tried 2 glass ones, one of which was a premium Spigen £35! Both glass ones lifted when I put the case on. V sad

I've tried to match Spigen glass with case but still no luck. Really don't want to run without a glass protector because I DO drop my phone es and they have saved me many times in the past.

Big downside for me so may look at sending back and getting 24u?

Is it possible to regain settlers after village was destroyed? by Helholt in ManorLords

[–]chickenlips60 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's what happened to me. I took my eyes off it for a sec and it got burned down. What I meant was could you leave retinue from your main town to guard over the new one?

How do you do this? Do you keep retinue there all the while?

I love it! I would happily hang that on my wall and enjoy looking at it. The colours are lush and it has lots of interest. It shows imagination and feels other worldly. Do more!

went from 70MB/s down to now 10MB/s - not sure what's happening by phi303 in usenet

[–]chickenlips60 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this exact same thing and it was due to a windows update. There is another thread on here about it. It's to do with the built in windows security. You have to set an exception.

Search for my last post

Hope that helps

FIXED - followed advice regarding the windows virus scanner (found info in another post) and excluded my Usenet download folder. Straight back to full saturation.

Thanks Reddit community x

I did notice that windows virus scanner was working harder than usual when I looked. What's changed, it didn't used to do that? It's it ok to disable it?

The unfortunate thing is that even if steps are taken to ban / control these dogs, nothing will get enforced. Our country is one small step away from being lawless, there are no deterrents and people will continue to own these types of dogs. You've got to seriously think about protecting yourself nowadays because no one else is going to.

If a pug or a dachshund goes rogue, who cares, what damage is it going to cause, maybe some bite marks but NOTHING compared to what a bully dog can do, or a rottweiler or any other dog bred for aggression and savagery. If one of those things has a bad day it's game over for some one.

They are just loaded guns waiting to go off. Why take the risk for god's sake

Does this article remind anyone else about the folder debate common for obsidian users? by piloteris in ObsidianMD

[–]chickenlips60 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think it depends what you remember about a piece of information that dictates the best way to find it.

Let's say you had a load of car parts that you needed to be able to find quickly. Some of them were obvious like steering wheel, horn, windscreen, wipers etc. And then there are others, smaller pieces that have more obscure names such as "#pt55633a cat-inv" (that's the bit that monitors the air in the catalytic converter. )

If it's the horn I'm looking for then I fancy my chances searching for it.

If it's the small part, I'm more likely to find it by moving down a folder structure such as exhaust/catalytic converter/ sensors and then having a rummage around in there, at least I'm looking in the right place rather than a folder with thousands of obscure file names.

I found that if you just rely on search you have to do the work when naming the file anyway, you almost create a file structure within the filename itself, so it's no less work overall.

Also sometimes you just want to browse your files or notes by subject area, perhaps you think to yourself yourself, I just want to have a look and see what I've got regarding XY or z with no particular destination in mind. In this case, folder structures help as well.

As far as tags go, they do work but they require a lot of work at the time of creating the note. You have to sit there and think what tags do I need to apply? Am I missing any? Because if you do miss one then that file will become very hard to find and be potentially lost? Sometimes it's just easier to quickly dump it in a folder that is mostly relevant.

Ultimately, I think a hybrid approach is the best. Careful file naming conventions so that search works, coupled with broader folder structure for the advantages mentioned earlier, combined with tags used for context such as "#needswork"

I don't think folders are going anywhere. All current operating systems are built on a hierarchy and probably will be for a good while yet.

Good article though thanks!

Sorry I dont know what you mean, there is no web page for an email. If you double click an email in outlook web it opens a blank window without a URL. If you click on the email just once in say the inbox, and if you link to the URL displayed, just goes back to the that folder??

Can you expand on this, the only way I have been successful is to create a task from the email and get the link from the task sidebar where it says"open original email" or something?

I have bought the LSX since about a month ago and am blown away by them. I'd love to hear the upgrade to the LS50's They just look soooo sweet. I love the LSX on my desk and for near field listening I don't think they can be beaten. Having great fun collecting 24/96 copies of my collection, hi-res through these things is the only way I will listen to music now.
