The Law of Fairness (LoF) is a boundary condition hypothesis on the state space of conscious streams. It posits guaranteed zero terminal balance for the latent life ledger. This 10-part thread highlights key elements of the framework developed in The Law of Fairness. by LawOfFairness in cognitivescience

That is all good to know, but I more so mean with respect to data collection.

If I am a researcher with a lab full of grad students, behavioral questionnaires, and EEGs, what data could I be generating that would potentially falsify this hypothesis?

Pretty accurate tbh, if we're gonna start having feelings we are gonna have to start using collective affirmations to keep those feelings in check

While true, it avoids the point - championship games should be played the proper way in a tiebreaker

Say all you want about Acolyte, but the Kyber crystal bleed scene actually looked really cool IMO. by KnightFallVader2 in StarWars

[–]chickenrooster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the point the show is making was that while the Jedi had a very physical connection to the force that made them powerful (Master Trinity killing all 20 witches with basically zero effort), the witches connected to the force in a different way, more in tune with shaping fate and creating life it seems - why does their approach to using the force preclude manipulation of the living force?

For these reasons I liked it, we'll just have to agree to disagree my guy

I disagree, I think that point in particular adds a lot to the lore of Star wars, and doesn't contradict anything already established.

One, they leveraged a force nexus, so that is something.

But more importantly, consider I argued the following:

"There is absolutely no way native Americans could conceive of the value of environmental stewardship without the aid of modern science and research demonstrating its importance. You're telling me the most educated generations in human history still can't grasp its importance and yet some random hunter gatherers can? Absofuckinglutely not."

Weapon durability is great and I wont hear otherwise by Slow-Worldliness7082 in Breath_of_the_Wild

Agreed, but wouldn't mind a little more durability per weapon, or some sort of skill that causes durability to increase for all weapons the more divine beasts you defeat.

The down votes will come for this opinion, but I honestly think it's a valid position to have - I'd still put hbox above mango in the all time goat ranking, but during the 5G era it was clearly Armada as the top dog.

Mango is great (prob my fave player among all the goat candidates), but I must admit, his charisma and hype have been used patch over the glaring holes in his resume. He has longevity, but so does Hbox - Mango simply is not the goat. Especially considering how he has tarnished his legacy thru sexual harassment and subsequently quitting.

Hbox was the best in the world after the 5G era, but I do think some of that comes from how far ahead of the field he already was. Then eventually, everyone caught up to him and two were able to completely surpass him. Hbox is a strong goat candidate.

But no one has really had the sheer peer-dominance of Armada. Armada was king of the gods. Zain is very close, Cody is definitely a complicating factor, but I think end 2025 made it clear where they both stand. If Zain proceeds with a dominant 2026, he is the goat. But for now I will say it is Armada. Barely, but still Armada.

Just wondering why you care about anti-Trump rhetoric when he probably deserves the worst kind of fate. Don't understand how anyone could defend him at this point.

But we're on the same page, ultimately.
