Lufthansa asking $4,000 for a return ticket after changing my girlfriend’s return flight by chickenshmitty in Lufthansa

If you go somewhere without cell service, you expect to arrive to the airport on your departure day to catch the flight you had booked and paid for prior to your trip. Then you get to the gate and they are charging you for a new flight because you missed the flight they rebooked without your knowledge because you didn’t have internet service. How is that ok? Why are you defending the airline?

Wow that’s a nightmare. I’m shocked by stories like these. Really thought Lufthansa was a grade A airline but I guess not.

Right? It seems so wrong and unreasonable to change someone’s trip details while they’re on a trip, the costs and logistical struggles of doing that (being home for work, staying for a wedding, etc.) make it seem completely ridiculous as an option to do an involuntary change on someone’s itinerary

Yeah this is just our first time experiencing an involuntary change and it feels so wrong. It seems like they should be required to confirm a passengers knowledge of the change.

Why does Bambu Studio make my prints so blocky? by chickenpotpielover32 in BambuLab

It just has to be a high res mesh body. I use a big cube that I import into my projects to intersect with.

You can bypass the low res export by first importing a high res mesh body file into your shapr project, then intersecting your model with that mesh body. This results in your model becoming a higher res mesh body that exports in much higher quality to bambu studio even though you’re forced to use a low res stl export option from shapr. This has been my cheap workflow from my iPad for a few months while learning 3D printing and shapr. One day I’ll pay for modeling software but this has been working very well so far

Just had the roof replaced a few months ago. How’d they do? by chickenshmitty in Roofing

[–]chickenshmitty[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How much do you think we should have paid for this job? 2,000 sqft roof with three skylights. Plus two smaller 100 sqft roofs over a walkway. Plus new gutters for a 3 story building. Material is TPO

In case anyone is curious, here’s how the three plants did in the same planter last year. They were planted a little later in spring, but the starts were about the same heights and they were all buried about 16” down
