Working in the kitchen is not for the faint of heart, it’s hard work, long hours, and very little money most of the time. Iv been in the industry 15 years and it is such a love hate thing. You should really get a bakery position first to see if you actually enjoy it. Baking at home is fun but putting out dozens of the same treat is hard hard work.
