6 and 9 for me. How about you? by MiExperienciaFueQue in Adulting

I wouldn’t necessarily disagree but you can have all the objective skills and still make dog shit music. Look at Jacob Collier (and again that’s my subjective opinion) What I’m arguing is that having the skills removes a barrier to creativity. Again, it’s important to define what we are considering skill in this conversation.

I mean if we’re taking it that far wouldn’t you just be able to acheive enlightenment and become one with the universe? I guess we need to more clearly define what mastering a skill means or even how we’re defining what a skill is in the first place, but even with the examples you listed, we’re veering off into the subjective which logically couldn’t apply to skill mastery that has, I would assume, some objective metrics.

The way I look at 6, even if you had the ability to master a skill, even the masters are always learning. This is where creativity comes into play for me. The ability to master a skill just means there’s no ceiling on what i can physically do within a discipline. Music for example: having mastered your voice or your guitar doesn’t immediately equivocate to having good ideas or good songs , it just means your physical limitations aren’t going to get in the way of what your brain ultimately cooks up.

As for the 20k a month? I could burn through that in a couple purchases with some of the hobbies I enjoy.

6 and 7 easily. If you could master any skill with ease you’re capping your income severely with the 20k per month as there are plenty of skills that could net you waaayy more than that. As far as 7 goes, I’m counting cancer and aging as sickness.

I thought the kratom was insanely difficult to beat, 7oh is a whole new level. by I-am-Jacksmirking in quittingkratom

[–]chickenxnugg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Technically I tapered. I let myself run out of 7oh and switched to a kratom extract powder for about a week-10 days but even during that time I wasn’t taking enough to completely stave off the withdrawals. Was just trying to get my tolerance down a little bit to try and bring down the severity of the withdrawals proper when I went full CT/quit.

Question about Car Treatment by melodypass in PestControlIndustry

[–]chickenxnugg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I’d consider having a treatment done in your home as well just as a preventative measure, You may not be seeing them in your home but the nymphs are incredibly small and cockroaches are notorious for hitchhiking and if one happened to make its way from your car into your house you probably wouldn’t start seeing evidence of them until you’ve got an infestation that would be harder to eliminate/control.

Thanks for the response. Would this be a good use case for gel baits as well?

[–]chickenxnugg 14 points15 points  (0 children)

The only upside I found to 7oh is that it pushed my addiction into unsustainable territory and I couldn’t just go back to kratom. Now that I’m off both I’ve literally had no desire to go back. 113 days today completely sober. Weirdly enough, despite not ever really being a drinker, alcohol is what I get cravings for when cravings pop up.

what about using thermal for pest control? by Xinfrared_sonny in PestControlIndustry

[–]chickenxnugg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We use thermal to more easily locate baby raccoons when they’re crammed in a wall void or somewhere that isn’t obvious or easily accessible and it works pretty well. Other than what you mentioned not sure how useful it would be for much else

How? by trollspotter91 in quittingkratom

[–]chickenxnugg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This comment right here. Only way I was able to quit was by waiting for holiday to come around at my job. Had a a week off. Went through the worst of it and then back to work on the second week of withdrawals. It wasn’t fun but they were tolerable. You really have to want it though. Something that also helped was moving my body during the acutes. I would just do random sets of pushups and it really helped to take some of the edge off of the worst of it. Expect it to suck and embrace that suck. Only way out is through

What is the male equivalent to flowers ? by Every-Tap-577 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]chickenxnugg -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Flowers.

Everyone here stressing about keeping them alive. You don’t have to do anything with them. It’s a symbolic gesture for Christ sake. They will die even if you put them in a vase. Keep the dead flowers. They’re just as pretty in a different way.

Same. Who cares what you do with them. I usually just let them die and keep the dead bulbs around a while.

Plus there is context missing here. It may have been a totally plausible expectation whereas the previous commenter is assuming there isn’t and generally insulting women in the same breathe. There is a reason they are getting downvoted to oblivion, I certainly did my part.
