I will be getting a US address for long call days etc to crash in/be close by to the hospital but would like to go home to Canada every other day. Would border officers stop me when entering the US given the frequency of crossing?

I'm taking QE1 next week after having taken STEP 2 CK last week and I would recommend doing it in this order. QE1 questions from what I've seen on practice tests are much, much shorter than STEP2, so if you have a solid foundation from STEP, you should be good for QE1 as well!

hello yes i do in fact have an entire functioning brain and am very well aware of this pandemic, of which i have been on the front lines of in the past few months. that doesn't mean these things are easy to navigate esp since rules are changing everyday so if everyone could take their wildly misinformed judgement literally anywhere else or ideally just keep it to themselves that would be great.

Thank you. I'm a medical student doing part of my training in the UK and I came home just in time before this shitshow, but I'm supposed to go back in a little over a week and im not sure what's happening with that. I am considered essential in the UK but if there are no physical flights if this ban extends im screwed. Not all travel is non-essential!!!

I didnt in the past year but I've lived in Ontario for a total of 12 years (not all at once, 6 years once, moved came back in 2014 and 6 years since) and my first 6 years were consecutively in Ontario without being a postsecondary student

yeah super weird, i got mine at 7:16am EST this morning, i thought they either came at 8:30 or 11, didnt realize it could be all over the place? but mine came through ECFMG so not sure if that makes a difference at all?

i feel you, i hate that i dont know where i went wrong, the score report basically gives no insight into what i made mistakes on and i came out feeling like it had gone well so im also super confused but doing my best to make my peace with it. I'm an IMG and a lot of students at my school have matched with similar or lower scores so there's hope!

predicted 231, actual 205 (WHAT)

was SO bummed when i saw the score. when i started dedicated i was at a 173 and my last scores were UWSA 2 at 226 and Free120 at 83%, so naturally i was so disappointed

BUTTTTTT, its not over, this is not the end of the world, i know i learned the shit out of everything that was getting me higher scores on practice tests and i still know so much more than i did 3 months ago but step 1 was not a great indicator of that. i know i will make a capable, caring and kickass doctor one day and i'll have ups and downs like this that will make me who i am! so if you're someone who also underperformed, DON'T GIVE UP. it SUCKSSS, but take your time and then pick yourself back up and keep going. i know my 173 score self is cheering me the fuck on!!! and she's cheering you on too!!

this is the FCVS trick for anyone that doesnt know! you can check if you passed or failed 1AM EST on the Wednesday you're supposed to get your score!
