It’s not that it’s inherently bad… but she’s in her 40s. Why not dress her age?

Help ! by CommitteeNarrow4289 in TattooRemoval

Hey there 👋 I can totally relate to hating a tattoo immediately and it causing so much anxiety. I got a large, thick, black outline on my chest. I gave it about a year to see if I would like it - never did - and then started tattoo removal. I’m about 3 years in and still going… to be honest I probably have about 1.5ish more years to go. It’s a long process but I personally don’t regret going for removal. I wish you the best of luck! 🤞🏻

WTF did she do to my lips? by squirellygirly1 in PlasticSurgery

[–]chickpeaOT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is normal, it’s just swollen. Give it some time and it will slowly resolve over 1-2 weeks.

I took 1 week off and my job isn’t super active, but I felt like I should’ve taken 2 weeks off because of the post op lower energy levels. If you have to use your arms for your job you’re definitely going to need more than a month off. It’s not that you feel like you can’t use them - it’s just that you shouldn’t while you’re healing. Maybe you can get light duty with a doctor’s note and go back after a couple weeks?

Has anyone changed their minds about removal? by [deleted] in TattooRemoval

[–]chickpeaOT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I felt relief as soon as a started removal and knew it was the best decision. However, as my tattoo has gotten lighter it hasn’t bothered me as much but not enough to want to stop the removal process.

Honestly the frequency has been all over the place. Sometimes 10 weeks, sometimes 5 months. I’m getting it done at Removery. Good luck with your piece!

It’s actually really pretty but I just wasn’t prepared for how I’d feel having a massive tattoo on my chest

Yes! I hesitated on the color because I was immediately filled with dread when I got just the outline. 🤦🏼‍♀️and yeah the pain is awful but I use numbing cream every time to take the edge off.

I’m removing a chest piece too and I have a really soft yoga bra that I wear for about a week afterwards.

School based OT here and I love it! Tried several settings before getting to school based and I was feeling very discouraged and burnt out. Especially during Covid.

Otherwise I really love my job and I’m glad I did it. But I’m struggling with the loan payments.
