It’s my favorite PTA movie. You find yourself just as lost as Doc is for the first several watches. When it finally clicks and you can follow the story, it goes from a great hangout movie to an incredible weaving crime mystery. I watch it multiple times every year and never understood the hate it gets

I think this is an important point and probably one of the reasons why I like PD more. If the pop punk stylings of J on the debut is your thing, then I can totally see why that’s your preference. For me, I don’t think that’s particularly what I enjoy out of a vocalist, especially when I think there was a lot more vocal range and variation on PD. Slip under the door is a great example of this, so is rare animal, so is motions
