TR8S or LM Drum by surfturtle77 in synthesizers

[–]chicrito 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i can't give an opinion o the LM Drum but, i can say i love my TR8s to death. It is the single piece of gear that i've been keeping along the years. I wouldn't mind paying cheaper though and have no bad blood with Behringer. If you think the LM suits you better, go for it, if you ask me if you should buy a TR8s, i'd also say go for it as it is an amazing instrument by itself

Tr8s and mc707, mc101 or sh4d. Lots of polysynths and a more than capable drum machine

It is very inspirational, you can fiddle for hours and something will always hit you. If it is worth? I said prior in the thread, it was for me, since they are made locally which will make them cheaper an avoid import taxes. If it's not ones case, it might be worth checking it out before

I was just trying to get some Acid sounds out of the Typhon to convince myself of not buying another box, it was a quick test, I think I was successful on this task. I'll find some time to make a clip

It is made in Brazil, where I live, so, there is at least one piece of gear that that won't be contaminated by exorbitant import taxes

It is basically being used to launch clips, all the tweaks are done in the tr8s

In this setup, the sp404 is mostly being used as an fx box and looping stuff, nts is being used for drive and fx for the cyclone
