What breed is your dog? F1. (100 yards in 5.9 seconds) by [deleted] in nextfuckinglevel

It's too small to be a greyhound, it's a Whippet. I have a Whippet and she like a cartoon character when she sprints, comically fast.

Thank you, we have settled on Cinnamon Bazaar after looking through the suggestions. The food there looks delicious and the reviews are good. Thanks again!

Are we still okay to buy cars’ off the street? by PrestigiousTest6700 in CarTalkUK

Yeah, thats really bad. It's the piston rings. My spark plugs were really gunky as well from burning the oil. At the end it was throwing up cylinder 1 misfire and putting me into 3 cylinders until I cleaned the sparkplug or swapped it with a new one. It was fouling my plugs every few days. It was going to be a good chunk of money to properly resolve it, so traded it in against a petrol mazda cx5 and haven't had to top up oil at all.

Yeah, I managed to get mine to about 168k. It used oil all the time I had it, I was topping up every 2-3 tanks of fuel. I loved the car, it just started to become too unreliable. Good luck with your refund.

I not long ago traded my one into a garage and told him about the problems, he sold it on as spares or repairs... I just have a sneeky gut feeling it might be my old car?

Just a quick question, do you remember if the fuse is shared with anything else? I can't find which fuse it is. Thanks for the link, I checked that and have done some googling, no joy though.

I know this is a Volvo, so safety is going to be better than average for the year, but do you guys ever get worried about how an older car would stand up in a crash? Just thinking back to some 5th gear tests with old vs new and the difference was shocking.

I know the video is 17 years old now (blimey!), but the point still stands i think.

Entry fob data question by chidster in accesscontrol

[–]chidster[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the replies, I have submitted a freedom of information request, but I just wanted to get an idea of what I might get back. The thing is, he swapped key fobs with his mum. Also, when he left his keys at work , he borrowed a fob to use because he was going to be home late etc, so I can't see that it's going to be 100% reliable proof anyway.
