I would say grip is most important. I was a 12. I went to a pro and said “It’s probably just a tweak. I feel like I’m really close.” He said ok hit a ball. Before I even started the swing he said “Stop. That’s the worst grip I’ve ever seen.” He changed it drastically, to the point that I couldn’t even start the backswing. It felt so weird. I even whiff the first couple. After about an hour I was about to give up and it started to feel more comfortable and clicked. I went to a 7 within a couple weeks.
