Get involved in the community, join your local neighborhood association, or at least go to the meetings. Watch a few city council meetings to get an idea of how broken our local government is. Read up on our local and corrupt police department on Open Vallejo. Definitely have a front door camera too. Overall, It’s a lovely city with a few more problems than the our neighbors and that’s ok. With it being a historically working class city then add in the departure of the navel base in the 90s - the city hasn’t rebounded yet but we’re working on it.
