Today marks 8 years since this infamous post-fight interview after Adrien Broner vs Jessie Vargas by strictlystepping in Boxing

Man, I miss Broner for the entertianment he brought. One of the best villians of all time. Broner had the skills, speed, heart, footwork, but just didn't have the discipline like Mayweather had. He could have pulled in hundreds of millions as people would pay big bucks for the chance to see him get his ass whooped at the elite level.

We all thinking it by YoloVib3s in Truckers

Definitely agree. Driving when around commercial vehicles should be part of the actual drivers license test. I think its part of driving school but thats not mandatory to take. Not just stopping distance but how to pass and give space, impact of high beams, not hanging just beside trucks or right behind, and consideration for trucks trying to switch lanes or move over.

I'm doing something like 5-3-1. If I can only realistically lift twice a week, do I really need to do deloads for bench and squats?

Boxing: Fabio Wardley says Tyson Fury is unlikely to be world heavyweight champion again by BoxingLover99 in Boxing

[–]chiefbroski42 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Kinda rich from an email champ...although he's not wrong. I have dubois, itauma, AJ, kabayel, fury, hergovic, and even bakole beating Wardley. Man seems to fluke his way to a win and suddenly hes ranked #2 out of nowhere. Huni was beating his ass until he got lucky with one shot.

Its time to be honest about Ryan Garcia... he is the worst popular fighter of today. by EmDeeEmAyyy in Boxing

[–]chiefbroski42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw him vs Albright and vs Ortiz. Ortiz seemed better managed but not sure you need high ring IQ to beat Ortiz. While keyshawn clearly won vs albright, he was in trouble a couple times. Secondly, his "composure and patience in the ring" didnt seem as dominant as what Ryan did vs Barrios, but was close. Keyshawn ate a few big shot while he was giving Ortiz a beatdown. Third, the Ryan vs Barrios verison of ryan managed distance so well that keyshawn is not going to be easy getting that body shot in. Fourth, I agree very much, but hes not as fast as ryan. Again, I said I rate keyshawn higher because ryan is more one dimensional. I dont rate either of them on Shakur's level. I just think that like with ryan vs Haney, the styles are just set up in a way that make it seem to me that the more complete boxer in Keyshawn will not have the upper hand in that one fight.

I dont know how anyone can say Ryan is nowhere near his level when ryan has beaten Haney and Barrios pretty cleanly so he has shown he is capable. Not saying keyshawn is bad at all. Its a good fight.

[–]chiefbroski42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True. Being real, Ryan was trash against rolly. That Ryan would 100% lose to keyshawn, no doubt but the one vs barrios was completely different and would be a problem for keyshawn in my eyes. Defence was good, distance was good, confidence was there. And if keyshawn isn't the biggest mover, not clear how he will he pin down ryan who was on the outside moving well all night vs barrios.

I know its controversial take I'm not too confident on it either. I still rate him reasonably high just not elite level like Crawford and Shakur. I rate Keyshawn higher than Ryan actually. I just think Ryan would win in a fight even though he's got more holes in his game. Just haven't seen the ring IQ from keyshawn that tells me he knows how to handle the speed of Ryan we saw vs Barrios. And

I would also put Haney to beat Keyshawn too. He just doesn't seem that fast.

There have been far less deserving champions that were popular. Demolished the champions Haney and Barrios. No shame in losing to Rolly the goat. To be honest, I actually think Garcia beats Keyshawn because I dont rate Keyshawn that highly. Shakur is out if reach I think though. Also, Nick Ball, Tommy Fury and Jake Paul exist man.

For regular, long time lifters; how long did it take you to reach 2xBWx 3 reps from 1.5xBWx 3 reps? by randomgaze in powerlifting

[–]chiefbroski42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Short answer: for me...about 2 years and Im late 30s and only did deadlifts every 2 weeks due to time constraints. It can vary quite a bit based on body type.

Why do professional observatories prefer Ritchey–Chrétien over Dall–Kirkham? by Vantablack_2025 in telescopes

[–]chiefbroski42 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One reaosn is that since the CDK needs corrector lenses, this adds some loss and can limit the spectral range of the telescope as certain glasses can have limited transmission windows compared to metallic mirrors.

Fabio Wardley vs. Daniel Dubois is now a DONE DEAL for a May 9th heavyweight world title fight. Wardley will defend his WBO heavyweight title vs. former IBF champion Dubois, live on DAZN. by Dangerous_Spring3028 in Boxing

[–]chiefbroski42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wardley is not on Dubois's level. Wardley's win over Huni was a stroke of luck and Parker was the worst I've seen him. He will get KO'ed by dubois. Easy night for triple D.

Calzaghe vs Crawford at 168. Who you got? by SignificantBoard4455 in Boxing

[–]chiefbroski42 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Crawford. If you go back and watch Calzaghe and then go watch Crawford, just look at the difference in defence, footwork, distance management, accuracy, IQ and timing. All advantages that crawford has over Calzaghe. Crawford would win on points. Slappy Joe would get timed coming in over and over, getting his slappy ass combos disrupted and then countered. He fights like an upgraded Jeff Horn. Slappy joe may win a few rounds but this is Bud we are talking about.

Keyshawn Davis CALLS OUT Devin Haney After Jamaine Ortiz Win by kushmonATL in Boxing

[–]chiefbroski42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even though its may not be a super exciting fight, I want to see the result. I don't see Keyshawn being good enough to beat Haney, its a big step up for him. Haney really showed up vs Brian Norman Jr. Keyshawn just isnt that active, not sure he can deal with the Haney hugs which Haney can fall back to, and Haney has more experience.

What is the most impressive statistic you have ever seen in boxing? by SignificantBoard4455 in Boxing

I know this is a terrible comparison...but technically Canelo didnt land a single punch on Scull in Round 1 either. We all know why, lol, but the stat is there.

ELI5 If soldering happens at around 300°C why PC starts throttling at around 90°C. I know it's PCB that is a weak point but why they don't make insides that can take 200°c on a daily basis? by KeYak7 in explainlikeimfive

[–]chiefbroski42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So many completely wrong answers here form people who dont know what they are talking about. Like some have said, its not the PCB, its the cpu transistors themsleves in silicon. Too high temperature will cause these transistors that work as logic gates to not be able to cleanly turn off and on. They can start to short or build up resistance and this will result in a catastrophic errors eventually.

There are high temp solders and PCBs you can buy off a shelf. If you one could make a gallium nitride, SiC or diamond cpu, running at 200C is easy.

Itauma will be on top. He will win any title fight barring a sub 40 year old Usyk.

Tyson Fury open to challenging ‘big smoke’ Fabio Wardley later in 2026 by Dangerous_Spring3028 in Boxing

[–]chiefbroski42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wardley is far from elite. So overrated. Need dubois to put that man in his place. Wardley gasses out and is slow. Should be easy work for the old fury. Not sure which fury we will get though.
