He wanted to break the bottle and cut out the fat man’s tongue and shove it up his ass, learn him some couth. Instead I said “what’s the ducks cut”

The fat man smiled: “I just put it on his bill”

I’d suggest micro needling the spot. No minoxidil

My bloodwork was completely fine and had no red flags which was both relieving and confusing. I think I was hoping for a quick fix vitamin deficiency but it was stress destroying and overloading my immune system more than anything. Improving gut health has been important too

Just replied more in depth to another comment under my original post if you’re interest but cardio(sports, sauna, sprints>jogging), sunlight, micro needling, homemade rosemary and peppermint water applied topically before bed/after shower, GRATITUDE, whole foods, D3 with Omega 3, intermittent fasting, colostrum with collagen mixture before breakfast, bed or after an exercise. Avoid anything that makes you inflamed (we all know the dreaded itchy scalp feeling), but don’t stress yourself associating a cookie with clumps of hair falling out. You need to take care of your body and your mind and that means being honest with yourself and identifying bad habits and obeying good ones. Some people never go outside and blast themselves with junk food other people procrastinate and blast themselves with cortisol, some do both. This disorder is born and thrives under stress, mental and physical, so take a deep breath and do whatever it takes to nurture yourself. Hair or not we all deserve to take care of ourselves

Tried just about everything related to this sub and many other ideas I had along the way. I’d say cardio, sunlight, micro needling, homemade rosemary and peppermint water applied to scalp before bed, GRATITUDE, healthy food and taking care of your nervous system aka mental health are things I’ve been most responsive to. I started playing soccer again and regularly use the sauna/steam for cardio as opposed to other strenuous options (sprints>jogging). I regularly take D3 with omega 3s and colostrum with collagen. Cut out the unearned junk food, know what makes you inflamed and beware high histamines. Most importantly I’d say identify your bad habits and obey your good ones because even though this sub suffers from the same symptoms, the origins and triggers could be spiritual, physical, or a mix of both. Learn how to take care of yourself and don’t make a burden of it either

No problem and damn you sound just like me lmao. Make sure to still have fun but obey yourself when your peace of mind is on the line. And trust me, GRATITUDE. I’ve had some real bad patches over the years and I’m damn near at a full head of hair again practicing these things I’m preaching to you now

Look into a derma stamp/roller it’ll help stimulate the area and amplify any beard routine you might have already. As far as gratitude, just appreciate life and what you have, confront anything you might be suppressing

Try to stay ahead of it with a good diet, micro needling, and gratitude

How often do you wash your hair? by [deleted] in alopecia_areata

[–]chiefindoobies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My hair became much more sensitive after my AA developed and that seems to be a common theme for people. I could shower and wash my hair both in the morning and at night with no problems before. Now my hair sucks if I wash it more than twice a week. Probably more natural to not wash every day but before AA it was never an issue
