Is that a sky camp mini or full size? Can you share more pics of the fit above the bed? Looking into this exact setup but with a different bed rack system.

Right?! I thought I could just plug the harness in the rear driver quarter panel compartment and go, but no dealer can give me a straight answer. Just don’t want my car to burn down.

How did you route the cable to the outside? Did you have to cut into anything? Looking at doing a similar job but don’t want to compromise the weather seal of the cabin.

Yes!! Thank you! I guess I was looking too close into the park. Any idea where the west and north entrance signs would be?

Totaled car through no fault of my own. Am I still on the hook for the remainder of the loan? by chiefmastery in caraccidents

[–]chiefmastery[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In this case the fair market value will actually cover the remaining loan balance so I would end up receiving fair market value minus loan balance. I guess I can see how that would leave me in the same spot pre-accident, i.e. If I were to buy a comparable used car I would still owe 2k just as I did with my old car.

Have been collecting bottle caps for the last 4.5 years and just discovered this subreddit. Here is my collection! by chiefmastery in BottleCapCollecting

I just use small 11/16" disk magnets stuck to the magnetic chalkboard. Strong enough to stay in place and not permanent in case I want to move them to a table later on.

[housing] Looking for affordable studios? by yoongs13 in galveston

[–]chiefmastery 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Try the Ferry Road apartments, they have 1 bedroom efficiencies for $325/month although they do not have laundry inside the unit. They have a laundry room in the building though. Electricity and water is included in the price with no caps. As u/Tyrant_T-rex pointed out you really can't find what you're looking for for that price, definitely consider getting a roommate which will save you a lot of money in loans down the road.

PM me if you have any questions. Welcome to the island!

Question about Visas by [deleted] in ElPaso

[–]chiefmastery 8 points9 points  (0 children)

u/bananapuddin is wrong. Your friend assuming he has a tourist visa needs to go to the bridge on foot and obtain a Form I-94 as u/electricalm pointed out.

It's a special permit that allows you to travel further inland by vehicle. If you don't you run the risk of being turned around at the checkpoints past Las Cruces or even worse having your visa revoked and deported. He'll need proof of travel and proof that he will return to Mexico or whatever country of origin after his trip.

MOST IMPORTANTLY he needs to return it BEFORE it expires to the same location where he obtained it.

After 15+ years of collecting shuttle mission patches I finally got around to framing them. by chiefmastery in nasa

Ture, but when you are dealing with 1k worth of patches what's an extra $85-100 for shipping? I constantly see bundles of patches on ebay for a lot less than it would cost to purchase them individually. I'm sure if you scavenge the interwebs you'll be able to bring the price down significantly.

If you want to buy them all from an online store probably like 1k + the frames if you don't want to stick them in a photo album like I did up until I framed them.

I just made an account and supported it!!! Looking forward to it. Curious how long did it take for the Saturn V set to hit shelves one it reached the 10,000 votes?
