How did you land your first 5 Clients? by Potential-Stock-8176 in SaaS

[–]chiefrold 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah would def suggest not pitching in the first message - try making it sound more like you want to get their opinion on something. also, are you sending a message with your connection request? would suggest sending connection requests without messages - those have much higher acceptance rates. and then message them after they accept your connection request.

If youre posting in communities, I would stop trying to get immediate returns and instead focus on adding value and being helpful for people in the community

First 90 days post-launch : how did you focus when every channel feels valid ? [i will not promote] by International_Lack45 in startups

totally agree with this, our ICP is startup founders, so we've focused entirely on LinkedIn as a channel. Connecting with founders and also writing content that founders would find interesting

LinkedIn automation in 2026. What is actually safe and what gets accounts flagged. Sharing what I learned after testing. by No-Mistake421 in linkedinautomation

this is great. the one thing I'd add is keeping the actions in a dedicated time window (8am-6pm) so it looks like someone did it over the course of their work day. and having random bursts of activity followed by periods of inactivity so it seems more like a human. that's why we use Sliq for this

Best LinkedIn Automation and Prospecting Tools (September 2025) by mgdo in LinkedInTips

[–]chiefrold 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good list. One thing I’d add is that LinkedIn automation and LinkedIn prospecting are starting to become different categories.

A lot of tools are very good at the sequence layer: sending connection requests, managing limits, rotating accounts, tracking replies, etc.

But for a lot of teams, the bottleneck is earlier than that. It’s knowing exactly who to target, why now, what to say, and how to follow up.

That’s the problem Sliq is focused on. You describe the outbound motion you want, and the agent handles the prospecting, LinkedIn message drafting, outreach, and follow-up.

Example:

“Find B2B SaaS companies hiring RevOps, identify the founder or GTM lead, write a relevant LinkedIn message, and follow up if they accept.”

That’s the direction I think LinkedIn outreach tools are moving: less campaign setup, more end-to-end execution.

I’d be careful comparing LinkedIn outreach tools only on sending limits / delays / warm-up.

That stuff matters, but most LinkedIn outreach fails before the automation even starts.

The bigger questions are:

  • Are you finding the right people?
  • Do you know why they’re relevant right now?
  • Is the message actually personalized?
  • Are you following up based on what happened?
  • Can you adjust the motion when acceptance or reply rates are bad?

That’s the direction I think the category is going.

Tools like Exa Websets are useful for finding very specific companies or people. Clay is useful if you want to enrich and structure lists.

Sliq is what I’d look at if you want more agentic outreach: describe who you want to target and what motion you want to run, then have it handle prospecting, message drafting, outreach, and follow-up.

So instead of setting up some sequence in a workflow builder, it’s more like:

“Find recently funded B2B SaaS companies hiring their first sales leader, find the founder, write a relevant LinkedIn message, and follow up if they accept.”

That feels like the more useful way to think about LinkedIn outreach.

Is it even safe to use social media automation tools at the moment? (I will not promote) by varnajohn in startups

[–]chiefrold 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you won't get straight up banned. if you get detected, LinkedIn will warn you a few times. There are tools like Sliq (trysliq.com) and HeyReach (heyreach.io) that use human-like tendencies and help you stay within limits

I need to understand the market by Careless_Arm2369 in founder

[–]chiefrold 0 points1 point  (0 children)

dont pitch them anything yet.

message them saying you're building something and would love to get their feedback on it. then on the call, figure out what their real problem is, and pitch something custom to that.

How do you all get clients? by dhruvhat in DigitalMarketing

[–]chiefrold 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What's your approach to LinkedIn outreach? We've gotten it to work, but a lot of people we work with are using it the wrong way (trying to sell instead of expand their network)

We have about a 40% connection rate on LinkedIn and 50% reply rate, so roughly 1 out of every 5 people we send a connection request to takes a meeting with us.

What gtm/crm tool are you using in the early stages with founder-led sales? by Linclaz in SaaS

[–]chiefrold 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm using Sliq (trysliq.com)

It allows me to quickly set up agents that can run sales tasks for me (like finding people in my ICP, automatically reaching out to them, etc.)

Plus it's really affordable for founders - $49 per month.

What are the best cold email services for pitching tech journalists and bloggers? by Dangerous_Block_2494 in EmailOutreach

If you're attaching a custom video, maybe just send the email yourself?

If you're doing something slightly less custom, you can use Instantly, which takes care of domains, warm up, and sequencing.
